CTET Exam Centres 2025 can be checked through the CTET Exam City Slip. A total of 136 exam centres are allotted across the country. You can select your preferences while filling out the application form. The application form for the CTET December 2025 session will be available in August 2025, tentatively. Around 136 CTET Exam Centres 2025 are selected all over the country. You are required to give four different options in order of your preference to select your exam centre. The board will make every effort to allot the centre in one of the places opted by you; however, the final decision will be made based on the circumstances. Under no circumstances, the exam centre be changed by CBSE. You can get detailed information about your specific exam centre through the CTET 2025 Admit Card. You can download the same online at ctet.nic.in. 

CBSE is expected to release the CTET 2025 December session notification in August 2025. The 21st edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is expected in December 2025. How to Locate CTET Exam Center 2025?

Getting anxious about locating your CTET Exam Centre 2025? Worry not, given below we are sharing some steps that you can follow to ensure that you reach the exam centre on time and locate it as soon as possible:

  • Step 1: CBSE will release the CTET December 2025 City Intimation slip on the official website in August 2025. It will include information about the city allotted to you. The city will be allocated to you according to your 4 preferential cities. 
  • Step 2: After learning about your city, you can start learning about the transport options available there. 
  • Step 3: The CTET December 2025 final admit card will be released in December. The admit card will consist of the exact location of the exam centre. It will include the Institute name, street, locality, PIN Code, and landmark. 
  • Step 4: If you are not sure about the exact location of the exam centre, try using Google Maps. Do not forget to verify the location of your exam centre. 
  • Step 6: Try to visit your exam centre at least 1 to 2 days in advance if you are not familiar with the area. 
  • Step 7: Try to calculate the time it takes for you to reach there. If you are using your vehicle, then it is recommended to look for a parking lot, but it is more convenient to use public transport. 
  • Step 8: On D-Day, leave home as soon as possible to avoid any delay caused by a traffic jam. Make sure to carry all your documents.

CTET 2025 Exam City Intimation Slip

The CTET exam city intimation is done through the release of the official Iintimation slip which is also known as the CTET pre-admit card. Candidates who have registered for the CTET 2025 exam must check and download their CTET exam city intimation slip using their Application Number and Date of Birth as login credentials on the official website. The CTET pre-admit card consists of vital information regarding the exam which includes the exam city which has been allotted to the applicant for the CTET exam 2025. The same can be downloaded from the official website by following the steps mentioned below:

  • Candidates must visit the official website - ctet.nic.in
  • On the homepage, candidates must find and click on the pre-admit card link.
  • Subsequently, candidates will be required to enter the login details which include their Application Number and Date of Birth.
  • Once the CTET pre-admit aard is displayed, aspirants can download the CTET exam city slip in PDF format by clicking on the download option in the top-right corner of the screen.

CTET Exam Center Guidelines

In the official notification, which will be published by CBSE for CTET, you will find the exact guidelines to be followed during the paper. Refer to some of the guidelines given below:

  • The exam room will be opened at 7:30 AM for Paper–II (Morning) and at 12:30 PM for Paper-I (Evening). You are required to take your seat immediately after the exam hall is opened. 
  • You must show your admit card in the examination hall. Without the admit card, you will not be allowed to take the exam. 
  • You will be allotted a seat indicating your roll number. Find and occupy your seat as soon as possible. 
  • If you arrive at the exam hall after the commencement of the exam, then you will not be permitted to sit in the exam. 
  • The following items are prohibited from the exam hall: a) Any stationery item like textual material (printed or written), bits of paper, Geometry/Pencil Box, Plastic Pouch, Calculator, Scale, Writing Pad, Pen drives, Eraser, Whitener, Calculator, Log Table, Electronic Pen/scanner, Cardboard, etc, b) Any communication devices like Mobile phones, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, Health band etc, c) Any Watch/Wrist watch, wallet, goggles, handbags, Gold/artificial ornaments etc, d) Any other item which could be used for unfair means and for hiding communication devices/gadgets like Camera, Bluetooth device etc.
  • You are not allowed to leave your seat without the special permission of the Invigilator. 
  • You must not leave the exam hall before submitting your answer sheet to the invigilator and signing the attendance sheet. 
  • Smoking, chewing gutka, spitting, etc., in the Examination Hall/Room is strictly prohibited.
  • Tea, coffee, cold drinks or snacks are not allowed to be taken into the examination rooms during examination hours.
  • You will be given a sealed test booklet with an answer sheet placed inside 15 minutes before the commencement of the paper. 
  • You are required to fill in the particulars on the cover page of the test booklet as soon as you get the test booklet with your ballpoint pens, either Black or Blue. 
  • You shall bring your stationery items, and none of it will be provided by the Board.
  • You are not allowed to open the test booklet until asked to do so by the Invigilator. Do not open/break the seal before the announcement.

How can I check my CTET exam city and date?

The CTET exam city and date are listed on the admit card as well as the CTET Pre-admit card for candidates to see. The admit card is made available by the CBSE a few days before the test. When it becomes available on the platform, candidates can view the CTET 2025 admission card by providing their registration number. Alternatively, candidates can also check the exam city allotted to them by downloading the Exam City Intimation Slip, also known as the Pre-Admit Card, when it is released on the official website. 

Is it possible to change my CTET exam center?

Yes, it is possible to change the CTET exam center but only in way particular manner. After the final submission of the CTET application form, candidates cannot change their options for CTET exam locations. However, the CBSE offers candidates a one-time opportunity to revise their CTET application, allowing them to change their preferred exam cities. However, after the application form correction option closes, no requests for exam city modifications are granted. Candidates will have to visit the exam center they have been allotted on their CTET admit cards in order to appear for the exam.

How many exam city preferences can be chosen for CTET?

While completing the CTET application form, candidates can select up to four CTET exam cities. The exam center city preferences selected by the students in the online application form are taken into consideration by the CBSE when allotting exam cities to candidates. The CBSE will, however, assign any of the other exam center preferences if the first preference is unavailable. Candidates must choose the exam city preferences carefully when filling out the CTET application form and they must enter the exam city preferences in order of their convenience to reach the particular location.

How can candidates check their CTET exam center allotment?

When the CTET exam is officially announced, the CBSE publishes a list of the cities where the exam will be held on the official website - ctet.nic.in. However, students are informed of the precise CTET exam location via their CTET admit cards. The name and location of the CTET exam center that has been assigned to a candidate can be found on the CTET admit card once it is released by the authorities. Candidates will be able to download and check their exam center allotment by using the required login credentials on the official website of CTET.

How many CTET exam cities are there in India?

There are 284 exam cities in India where the CTET 2025 exam will be administered. Along with the official notification, CBSE also publishes a list of the cities where the exam would be held. When registering for the exam, candidates must select their top exam cities. The CBSE assigns CTET 2025 exam cities based on candidates' preferences as well as other considerations. Before the exam begins, candidates are notified of the exam city they have been assigned to.
