Your Ultimate Exam Preparation Guide Awaits!
The IBSAT exam, which is the ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test, is a part of the admissions process to the business school. Thousands of people who want to go to business school in India will take the IBSAT. The IBSAT is important because it helps people figure out if they are ready for an MBA degree. The IBSAT test shows the IBSAT candidates how ready they are to get their MBA degree from the ICFAI Business School.
If you are trying to get into an MBA program, you need to know how your IBSAT score compares to those of other people who took the IBSAT. If you get a score in the percentile or higher on the IBSAT, you can get into our best campuses, which are Hyderabad and Mumbai. The IBSAT cutoff is very important for the IBSAT. You can still get into some good schools in India even if your score is between the 60th and 70th percentiles.
Check out the IBSAT 2024 cutoff trend here to get an idea of how the cutoff percentile has changed over the years.
In India, nine IBS campuses can be found (Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, Gurgaon, Pune & Ahmedabad) distributed among several other cities (Kolkata, Jaipur, Dehradun). Among these campuses, there are differences in their level of competitiveness, but there is one school, IBS Hyderabad, ranked as a Flagship Campus. Check out the campus-wise cutoff score here:
IBS Hyderabad | 75 – 80 |
|---|---|
IBS Mumbai | 72 – 78 |
IBS Bengaluru | 68 – 75 |
IBS Gurgaon | 65 – 70 |
IBS Pune | 65 – 70 |
IBS Ahmedabad | 60 – 68 |
IBS Kolkata | 60 – 68 |
IBS Jaipur | 55 – 60 |
IBS Dehradun | 55 – 60 |
ICFAI has a simple way of letting people in. This means you can still apply to ICFAI even if you did not do great on your IBSAT. If you did not do well on your IBSAT, you can still apply to ICFAI. You just need to have taken some big exams that get you into an MBA program at ICFAI. ICFAI is okay with that. You can apply to ICFAI if you have taken exams, like IBSAT for MBA. ICFAI will consider your application.
For IBSA candidates who have submitted CAT or XAT scores, they need to have a score of 60% or more. NMAT by GMAC candidates have to get at least 150 on the NMAT by GMAC test and 500 or more on the GMAT test. Just because IBSA candidates have these scores, it does not mean they will get a scholarship from IBS.
If we look at what has happened with IBS over the three years, we can see how it has changed. The number of people who want to go to "Tier 2" campuses has gone up. This means that people who want to go to college are more interested in these campuses now. So these campuses are getting more competitive. I think we should tell people that just because they score 60%, it does not mean they will get into one of the five IBS campuses. We should tell them that a 60th percentile score is not enough to get into the IBS campuses. People who want to go to IBS should try to do better than 60 percentile if they want to go to one of the top IBS campuses.
Campus | 2021 Cutoff | 2022 Cutoff | 2023 Cutoff |
|---|---|---|---|
IBS Hyderabad | 74 | 76 | 78 |
IBS Mumbai | 70 | 72 | 74 |
IBS Bengaluru | 65 | 67 | 70 |
IBS Pune | 62 | 65 | 68 |
