About ITSAT 2018

ITSAT (short for Icfai Tech School Admission Test) is an All India Admission Test organised by The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE), Hyderabad for admission into its B.Tech programme. Earlier, ITSAT was known as ATIT entrance test. ITSAT is organised in two modes i.e. online (Computer Based Test) and offline (Paper Based Test) mode. Through ITSAT, candidates can get admission in any of the five ICFAI Tech campuses located at Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Dehradun, Hyderabad and Jaipur. Apart from ITSAT, candidates can also apply for admission through JEE Main 2018/ State Level / Other National Level Engineering Entrance Tests.

ITSAT 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying, candidates should ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria specified by the organising body. ITSAT eligibility criteria 2018 mentions the requirements related to qualifying examination, age and academic details. The institute has elaborated different eligibility conditions as per the nationality and course selected by the candidate. Candidates have to fulfill ITSAT eligibility criteria mentioned below to be eligible for admission:


  • The candidate should be a citizen of India.

Age Requirement

  • The candidate must meet the minimum age requirement prescribed by the concerned Board through which he/she has appeared for the qualifying examination.

Academic Qualification

  • The candidate should have completed 12 years of formal schooling in order to apply for the programme.

  • Passing class 12 examination or equivalent from a recognised board is mandatory to be eligible to apply for the exam.

  • Students awaiting Class 12 examination results may also apply.

  • The subjects in which the candidates must pass the qualifying exam are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English.

  • The score of exams such as JEE Main 2018 and any other state level or national level engineering exam will also be considered admission to the institution.

ITSAT 2018 Campus-wise Eligibility Criteria

For IFHE Hyderabad, ICFAI University Dehradun, ICFAI University, Jaipur, ICFAI University, Raipur & ICFAI University Jharkhand:

  • Candidates should have passed Class 12 or its equivalent with 50% marks or above in aggregate. The examination should have been taken with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English as subjects.

For ICFAI University, Himachal Pradesh:

  • Candidates should have cleared 12th standard with 55% and above aggregate marks or its equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English as subjects.

  • Candidate should have either qualified JEE (Main) 2018 or HPCET 2018.

ITSAT 2018 Exam Pattern

As per ITSAT exam pattern 2018, the admission test is organised in online as well as offline mode. There is a predefined exam pattern decided by the examination authority. The ITSAT exam pattern includes the subjects, question type, distribution of questions, duration, and marks.

  • There is only objective type (multiple choice) questions.

  • A total of 120 questions are asked in the examination.

  • The subjects asked in the exam are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English.

  • There are 30 questions from each subject.

  • The medium of language of ITSAT 2018 is English only.

  • The maximum time allotted for ITSAT is 120 minutes.

  • There is no negative marking.

  • Each question carries one mark.

ITSAT 2018 Result

The result of ITSAT 2018 is expected to be released online on the official website of ICFAI University. To check ITSAT result 2018, candidates have to log in with their Registration Number and Date of Birth. Candidates who qualify in ITSAT 2018 are intimated individually by email/ post. Candidates who meet the minimum ITSAT cut-off proceed to further selection processes. A scorecard is also published by ICFAI University along with the result.

How to Check ITSAT 2018 Result

  • Visit the official website for ITSAT.

  • Click on to the 'ITSAT 2018 Result' tab.

  • Enter all the details such as Registration Number, Roll number and Password.

  • Click on the 'Submit' tab.

  • The result appear on the computer screen.

  • Download the ITSAT 2018 result.

  • Take few print copies of the same for further admission rounds.

The details mentioned on the scorecard are as follows:

ITSAT 2018 Merit List

  • Candidates get the opportunity to know their subject-wise scores and rank from their ITSAT scorecard.

  • Admission is provided to candidates on the basis of their scores and ranks in ITSAT 2018 examination.

  • After the announcement of the results, a merit list is displayed on the official website of ICFAI University.

  • Selected candidates are usually sent a selection letter through email ID or post.

ITSAT 2018 Cut-off

  • Cut-off is the minimum marks that candidates need to obtain for qualifying in an entrance examination.

  • ITSAT 2018 cut-off is determined by the ICFAI University on the basis of various factors such as number of seats, number of candidates who appeared in the examination and the difficulty level of questions.

ITSAT 2018 Counselling Process

All the qualified and eligible candidates are for called for ITSAT counselling 2018. The shortlisted candidates receive a call letter for the counselling. ITSAT 2018 counselling procedure commences from the 1st week of June. Candidates have to report at the prescribed venue along with their original documents. The ITSAT counselling process is conducted in the online mode.

  • Candidates need to register online for the counselling procedure.

  • After registering, they have to fill the options of colleges according to their choice and rank.

  • The seat are allotted on the basis of choices filled by candidates and availability of seat.

  • All candidates who are offered conditional admission have to produce the proof of having passed the qualifying examination.

  • Allocation of University and Branch of engineering is based on candidate’s performance in ITSAT / JEE (Main) 2018 / State Level / Other National Level Engineering Entrance Tests (2018).

  • The final allocation of seats is done after verification of documents, availability of seats for various B.Tech courses undertaken by Admission Committee IFHE, Hyderabad.

How to Apply for ITSAT 2018

The ITSAT application form 2018 has been released by ICFAI. Candidates can submit ITSAT 2018 application form in online as well as in offline mode. The last date for filling the application form is 9th April, 2018. Therefore, candidates willing to appear for the entrance exam must fill the ITSAT 2018 application form before the deadline.

How to fill ITSAT Application Form 2018

Candidates can apply either in online or offline mode.

In Online Mode:

  • Visit the official website i.e.

  • Select the 'Admissions & Registrations' tab and click on the 'Online Registration' tab.

  • Enter the following details on the Registration page and click on the Declaration box and then click on ‘Register’ button to fill your Name, Address, City, State, Country, Pin code, E-mail address and Mobile number.

  • Branch details: You have to select five Branches in the order of your preference.

  • Personal details: You have to enter your date of birth, blood group, parent’s name, parent’s e-mail, nationality, mailing address, city, state and pin.

  • Academic details: Name of school/ college, city, Board, medium of instruction, year of passing, percentage, name and address of school/college, city, state, pin.

  • JEE (Main) 2018/ State Level Engineering Entrance Tests/ Any Other Entrance Tests candidates: have to enter their entrance test name, admit card number and test score.

  • Source of Contact: You have to select source from where you heard about ITSAT.

  • Family Background: You have to enter details of your family background such as Name, Present Occupation and Year of Passing.

  • After successfully filling the application form, you will get your Registration ID number for the examination.

  • Next, you have to upload your passport size photograph (4.5*3.5cm) and signature in JPEG format. File size should not be more than 25-30 KB.

  • After providing all the requisite details, you must go through the declaration, click on the check box to ‘I agree’ and then click on ‘Submit’ tab.

  • Then, the details filled in the application form of ITSAT along with the Registration Number will be displayed on your screen.

  • After that, you will have to pay the application fee through debit card/ credit card/ net banking.

  • Download the ITSAT 2018 application form and take a printout of the same for future use.

In Offline Mode:

  • Visit the official website of ICFAI.

  • Fill up your application form online based on the instructions given above.

  • Download the filled up application form.

  • After successfully filling the application form, send it to the Admissions office along with DD in favour of 'IFHE – Prospectus Fee A/c ITSAT 2018' payable at Hyderabad.
