Step 1: Visit the official website of the NEET 2026 Exam launched by the NTA
Step 2: Search for the ‘View NEET-UG 2026 -Result’ notification under the latest notice tab and click on the direct link

Students who have qualified for the exam will be invited to participate in the NEET 2026 Counselling process. It is a common instance that two or more students may secure the same marks. In such cases, NTA has laid down a set of rules or tie breaking criteria. The detailed NEET UG 2026 Tie-Breaking Criteria are as follows.
Rule 1: Students who have secured the highest marks in the Biology section will be placed in a higher position
Rule 2: If the tie persists, students securing the highest marks in the Chemistry section will be given preference
Rule 3: If the tie persists, students scoring the maximum in the Physics section will be given preference
Rule 4: If the tie persists, students with the minimum incorrect answers will be given preference in the merit list
Rule 5: In case the tie still exists, students with the minimum incorrect answers in the Biology section will be preferred over other candidates
Rule 6: If the tie continues, students with the lowest number of incorrect answers in the Chemistry section will be preferred over other students
Rule 7: If the tie continues, students with the lowest number of incorrect answers in the Physics section will be preferred over other students
Rule 8: If the tie still persists, older students will be given preference over other students
Rule 9: In case the tie is still there, it will be resolved randomly by an independent expert committee set up by the exam conducting body.
The NTA NEET Result 2026 is likely to be announced in June 2026. Initially, the NEET 2026 AIQ seats will be out, followed by the state quota seats. After the announcement of the national level merit list, the state wise NEET merit list will be released by the respective authorities. The merit list will be announced online and will consist of the names of the qualified students. The qualifying students will have to appear for the counselling rounds.
