How to Check NEET UG Results 2026

The step-wise guidelines to view the NEET UG Results 2026 have been listed below for reference to all interested students: 

1. Step 1: Visit the official website of the NEET 2026 Exam launched by the NTA

2. Step 2: Search for the ‘View NEET-UG 2026 -Result’ notification under the latest notice tab and click on the direct link

3. Step 3: Next, read the instructions carefully that pop up on the screen and click on the ‘OK’ button to submit your compliance. 

4. Step 4: Students will be redirected to a new NEET 2026 result page

5. Step 5: Now, you will be required to enter your roll number and date of birth, along with the security pin asked on the page, to successfully log into the portal and access the result page

6. Step 6: Once you log in, the NEET UG 2026 results will be displayed on the screen

How to Calculate NEET Score 2026?

Students who have appeared for the NEET UG entrance exam can calculate their NEET score by using the following points:

• Percentile Calculation: The percentile of a student can be determined by using the following formula: (number of candidates behind the candidate/total number of candidates) x 100. This calculation indicates how the student has performed relative to other test-takers.

• Absolute Marks: Each student can find their absolute marks obtained in the entrance exam, which contribute to determining their NEET Result 2026. These marks represent the actual score attained by the student.

• Ranking: It is important to note that students are ranked based on the marks they have obtained in the entrance exam in the NEET UG Result 2026.

The marking scheme for the NEET 2026 Result is as follows: 4 marks will be awarded to each correct response, 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer, and there is no deduction for unanswered questions.

Tie Breaking Criteria for NEET Result 2026

Students who have qualified for the exam will be invited to participate in the NEET 2026 Counselling process. It is a common instance that two or more students may secure the same marks. In such cases, NTA has laid down a set of rules or tie breaking criteria. The detailed NEET UG 2026 Tie-Breaking Criteria are as follows.

• Rule 1: Students who have secured the highest marks in the Biology section will be placed in a higher position

• Rule 2: If the tie persists, students securing the highest marks in the Chemistry section will be given preference

• Rule 3: If the tie persists, students scoring the maximum in the Physics section will be given preference

• Rule 4: If the tie persists, students with the minimum incorrect answers will be given preference in the merit list

• Rule 5: In case the tie still exists, students with the minimum incorrect answers in the Biology section will be preferred over other candidates

• Rule 6: If the tie continues, students with the lowest number of incorrect answers in the Chemistry section will be preferred over other students

• Rule 7: If the tie continues, students with the lowest number of incorrect answers in the Physics section will be preferred over other students

• Rule 8: If the tie still persists, older students will be given preference over other students

• Rule 9: In case the tie is still there, it will be resolved randomly by an independent expert committee set up by the exam conducting body.

What After NEET Result 2026?

The NTA NEET Result 2026 is likely to be announced in June 2026. Initially, the NEET 2026 AIQ seats will be out, followed by the state quota seats. After the announcement of the national level merit list, the state wise NEET merit list will be released by the respective authorities. The merit list will be announced online and will consist of the names of the qualified students. The qualifying students will have to appear for the counselling rounds. The counselling will be conducted in three rounds, and students can either select or opt out of seats based on their preferred choices.
