TANCET Architecture Exam Pattern 2026

Candidates going through the TANCET Architecture Syllabus are advised to go through the TANCET exam pattern 2026 to get hold of the exam and understand the exam better. Check the TANCET Architecture Exam Pattern below:

• The TANCET Architecture Exam will be conducted for a total of 115 questions and 100 marks
• The TANCET Architecture exam will be conducted for three subjects that are Basic Engineering & Science, Engineering Mathematics, and Specialisation Subjects. 
• The Basic Engineering Sciences will comprise 35 questions for a total of 20 marks; the Engineering Mathematics section will have 20 questions for 20 marks, whereas the Specialisation subject will have 60 questions for a total of 60 marks
• The TANCET exam does follow a negative marking scheme, and 1/4 marks will be deducted for incorrect answers. However, no deduction will be made for unanswered questions

TANCET Architecture Questions & Evaluation Scheme

Applicants can check the table below to understand the format of the M.Arch exam and their marking scheme. 

Applicants should be aware that if they do multiple shading of the answer, it will be considered wrong and ¼ marks will be deducted for the same. Therefore, no marks will be deducted if any question is left unanswered.

TANCET Architecture Exam Pattern 

• The question paper will be divided into three parts. 
• Part 1 and 2 are mandatory for all the candidates, whereas in part 3, applicants can choose the questions that are related to the discipline they have chosen. 
• In case the applicant appears for a different section in part 3 rather than the chosen section, his/her section will not be evaluated. 
• The questions in the TANCET MArch question paper will be at the undergraduate level. 
• The answer sheets shaded with pencil will not be considered for evaluation.
