The TS ICET 2020 paper will consist of 200 questions in total and there will be no negative marking incorrect attempts.
Normalisation of Marks
TS ICET 2020 will be conducted across multiple sessions and as a result, the difficulty level of each session will vary. In order to make sure that the candidates do not suffer due to the difficulty level of the question paper or vice versa, the normalisation process is followed. In this process, the marks obtained by the candidates who appeared in the easy session is reduced marginally whereas the marks of those candidates who appeared in the difficult session are increased.
The following formulae will be employed for the normalisation of marks procedure:
GASD + (GTA-GASD/STA-SASD) *(Marks obtained by the Candidate in the Subject in a Session – SASD)
GASD stands for “Sum of Average and Standard Deviation of all the candidates across all sessions of the Subject put together”
GTA stands for “Average mark of the top 0.1% of all the candidates across all sessions of the subject put together”
SASD stands for “Sum of Average and Standard Deviation of the subject of a session in which the candidate appeared”
STA stands for “Average mark of the top 0.1% of the candidates in the subject of a session in which the candidate appeared”
A tie-breaking policy for TS ICET 2020 result will be employed if two or more candidates are stranded on the same score. In such a scenario, the following methods will be used to resolve the tie:
Marks scored by the candidates scored in Section A will be prioritized.
Marks obtained by the candidates in Section B will be taken into consideration if the candidates have scored the same marks in Section A
The age of the candidates will be taken into consideration where the older candidates will be given preference
After the TS ICET 2020 result is declared, the candidates will be invited to participate in the TS ICET 2020 counselling process on the basis of the rank obtained by them in the TS ICET 2020 examination. According to the rank obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam, they will be offered seats in the TS ICET 2020 participating colleges. Only those candidates who have cleared the entrance exam with the desired marks will be eligible to participate in the TS ICET 2020 counselling process.

The counselling of TS ICET is expected to be conducted in the first week of July and on the basis of the TS ICET cut-off marks, candidates become eligible for the counselling round.
