WBJEE 2023 result has been declared today, May 26, 2023 at 2.30 PM by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB). The WBJEE result 2023 will be released by the authorities in the form of a rank card which was earlier specified in the official notification. The WBJEE rank card is now available in the board's website from 4 PM onwards. The rank card of WBJEE will comprise of sectional marks scored, total marks scored by the candidates, GMR, PMR to mention a few.

The WBJEE result 2023 will be released only in the online mode. Candidates who appeared in the exam can easily check the WBJEE 2023 result by following the steps mentioned below.

Step 2: On the homepage, applicants will be able to see a link available to access the WBJEE result 2023

Step 3: By clicking on the link, a new page will open where candidates are required to enter their login credentials like application number / enrollment number, date of birth and security pin

How to Retrieve Forgotten Application Number?

Candidates who have lost / forgotten their application number can follow the steps mentioned below to retrieve their application number to check the WBJEE result 2023.

• Visit the official website of WBJEEB at wbjeeb.nic.in
• Click on the "WBJEE Result 2023" link
• After clicking on the link, candidates will be redirected to a new page where they are required to enter their application number, password and security pin
• Click on the "Forgot Application Number" tab
• Now, in the new window opened applicants are required to enter their details like their name, father's name, mother's name, date of birth and security pin
• Click on "Submit" button after entering all the requisite details 
• The application number will be displayed on the screen and the same will be sent on the registered mail ID and phone number

How to Retrieve Forgotten Password?

Now in case a candidate forget their login password then they can follow the steps mentioned in the section below. 

• Visit the official website of WBJEEB at wbjeeb.nic.in
• Click on the "WBJEE Result 2023" link
• After clicking on the link, candidates will be redirected to a new page where they are required to enter their application number, password and security pin
• Click on "Forgot Password' tab
• New window will open where candidates can retrieve their password by clicking on any one of the given options i.e OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number or OTP will be sent to the registered mail ID and then click the "Continue" button
• After clicking the "Continue" tab, the candidate can set the new password and confirm the same 
• The new password will be saved and it can be used by the applicant in the future aspects as well  

Details Mentioned on WBJEE Result 2023

The WBJEE result 2023 will indicate the ranks and scores of the candidates. The rank card of WBJEE 2023 exam will contain the following details:

WBJEE 2023 Result: Rank Card

Candidates who have successfully cleared the WBJEE 2023 exam can download their WBJEE 2023 rank card which will be available on the official website of WBJEEB. The rank card will have the General Merit Rank (GMR) of the candidate. It must be noted by the candidates that WBJEEB will release the rank cards and the authorities will begin the counselling process on the basis of the WBJEE rank secured by the candidates.

• On the home page, click on the WBJEE rank card link.

• Enter your Application Number, Password, and security pin correctly.

• Now, submit and download your rank card.

Duplicate Rank Card of WBJEE 2023 Result

Candidates who will lose their WBJEE 2023 rank card will be able to apply for a duplicate one by following some simple steps. Rank Card of WBJEE 2023 will be required after the completion of the counselling and admission process conducted by the examination authority. To opt for a duplicate rank card, candidates should apply for it to the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board. They will also have to pay a processing fee of INR 500 through the demand draft drawn in  favour of WBJEEB.

WBJEE Result 2023: Tie Breaking Procedure

The ranks are offered to the candidates who appear at the entrance on the basis of marks scored by them. Therefore, there may arise a situation where the marks scored by two or more candidates match. To avoid such a circumstance, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will follow a tie-breaking policy for WBJEE 2023. It is to be noted that the policy of tie-breaking for general merit rank (GMR) and pharmacy merit rank (PMR) will vary from each other. General Merit Rank (GMR): WBJEE Result 2023 

• Candidates who will receive less negative markings in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics will be preferred in the merit list

• If the first criteria don’t resolve the tie, candidates with less negative marking in Physics and Mathematics, taken together, will be given preferred

• The next way out to break the tie is to give preference to the candidate who has less negative marking in Mathematics and Chemistry taken together

• Candidates who will score more positive marks in the subject of Mathematics for 2 marks questions will be offered with the preference. This step can be followed by the positive marks scored by the candidates in 2 marks questions in the subjects of Physics and Chemistry

• If the tie between the candidates is still not resolved, the one with less negative marking in the 2 marks questions of the mathematics paper will be placed higher in the merit list

• In case of a further tie, candidates with less negative marking in the Physics for 2 marks questions will be offered with the preference

• If all the above-mentioned methods do not solve the crisis the date of birth of candidates will be considered. The candidate who is older in age will be considered

Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR): WBJEE Result 2023

• Candidates with less negative marking in the Chemistry and Physics sections will be offered with the preference

• Candidates who have more positive marks in the Chemistry section will be preferred

• Candidates who have fewer negative marks in the subject of Chemistry will be preferred

• Candidates with more marks in the Chemistry paper for 2 marks questions will be provided with the preference

• Candidates with fewer negative marks in the Chemistry paper for 2 marks questions will be provided with the preference

• Candidates who score more marks in the Physics paper for 2 marks questions are preferred

• Candidates with fewer negative marks in the Physics paper for 2 marks questions will be provided with the preference

• Lastly, the candidates who are older are given preference over the younger candidates

WBJEE Merit List 2023

Along with the declaration of WBJEE result 2023, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will also release the merit list. Candidates who will be shortlisted will be called to participate in the counselling process. The merit list of WBJEE 2023 will be formulated based on the candidates marks in each subject and the total marks. WBJEE 2023 merit list will also be dependent on the category of candidates.

The General Merit List of WBJEE 2023 will be released on the basis of candidate's scores obtained in all subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) of the entrance examination. Also, a separate merit list will be released for reserved category candidates such as SC Rank, ST Rank, OBC-A Rank, OBC-B Rank, PwD Rank, TFW Rank. However, GMR will be applicable for all rounds of counselling and seat allotment.

WBJEE 2023 Counselling Process

After the WBJEE 2023 result is declared, a merit list will be prepared by the WBJEE Board which will contain details such as the overall score, sectional score, Pharmacy Merit Rank and General Merit Rank. After the declaration of the merit list, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will release the schedule for WBJEE 2023 counselling process and seat allotment process.

The seat allotment process preceded by the WBJEE 2023 counselling will be conducted in online mode. The eligible candidates will be required to register themselves for the online counselling process where they have to provide their college choice and course preference. After the counselling process is over, the candidates have to pay the fees and submit all the required documents in the online mode for verification purposes to complete the admission process.
