CUET 2024 Eligibility Criteria has been released by the National Testing Agency. Candidates who wish to submit the CUET 2024 registration form should first read the CUET eligibility criteria 2024. The CUET 2024 eligibility criteria will be an important guide for CUET UG registration 2024. Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements to participate in the CUET 2024. Note - Candidates must note that if any candidate doesn’t fulfil the CUET eligibility criteria 2024, then their CUET application form will be rejected. The eligibility criteria for any university can be different for every university. Candidates will be required to fulfil the age criteria or any other CUET 2024 eligibility criteria (if any) of the respective University / Institution / College at the admission time. 

Detailed CUET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

There are some basic CUET eligibility criteria 2024 and candidates must fulfil that. The basic CUET 2024 eligibility criteria state that an applicant must have completed their 10+2 with a minimum of 50% overall. If a candidate belongs to the SC/ST category, they must have 45% in the 10+2 class. Mentioned below are the detailed CUET eligibility criteria 2024:

Nationality

Aspirants must be an Indian citizen

Age Criteria

No lower or upper age limit for the CUET UG exam. However, aspirants will have to satisfy the age criteria specified by the desired university.

Minimum Qualification

For the General category, the candidate must have completed her / his 10+2 class with a minimum of 50% from a recognised State or Central Board of Education. 

For the SC/ST category, the candidate must have passed the 10+2 class with a minimum of 45%.

Minimum Aggregate

No minimum aggregate has been issued by NTA. However, candidates must have passed class 12th or its equivalent exam.*

Note: * Some universities have set the minimum aggregate for CUET UG 2024 admission, then candidates are required to satisfy them. The aggregate can be different for each educational institute/university/college accepting CUET scores.

CUET 2024 Eligibility Criteria: Reservation Criteria

Every Central University is required to follow the regulations set by the NTA. All applicants must check the CUET eligibility criteria 2024 reservation criteria before applying. Reservation for CUET 2024 eligibility criteria for SC/ST, OBC, PwD, and other categories are given below in the table.

Candidates belonging to the OBC category. They must have a valid SC certificate issued by the authority.

Economically Weaker Section (EWS)

10%

Candidates belonging to the EWS category. They must have a valid SC certificate issued by the authority.

Persons with Disabilities (PwD)

5%

Candidates with a minimum of 40% disability are eligible for PwD reservation. They must submit a valid disability certificate issued by a competent medical authority while filling out the application.

Sports/ECA Quota

As per University norms

Candidates must provide certificates of participation and achievement in sports/ECA activities as specified by the university.

Note - All the candidates will be required to submit the respective category certificate while filling out the CUET registration form. 

CUET 2024 Eligibility Criteria: Degree-Wise

CUET UG 2024 is conducted for UG courses as well as Integrated Courses (UG+ PG). Candidates who are applying for the same courses must check the degree-wise CUET eligibility criteria 2024. CUET UG eligibility criteria 2024 can vary depending on the degree chosen by candidates. Aspirants must go through the table given below to get a rough idea about the CUET 2024 eligibility criteria as per their degree.

  • Class 12th or equivalent exam in any stream from a recognised board of education 

Integrated B.Sc B.Ed

  • Class 12th or equivalent exam in Science stream from a recognised board of education

Integrated B.Sc B.Ed (Mathematics)

  • Class 12th or equivalent exam in Science stream from a recognised board of education. Candidates must have studied Statistics/ Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics at 10+2 level.

B.Voc in Biomedical Sciences/ Integrated M.Sc in Biochemistry

  • Class 12th or equivalent exam in Science stream from a recognised board of education.

Integrated M.Sc in Biotechnology/ Integrated B.Sc M.Sc

  • Class 12th or equivalent exam in Science stream with Biology from a recognised board of education.

Integrated M.Sc in Chemistry/ Integrated B.Sc (Hons.) M.Sc

  • Class 12th or equivalent exam in Science stream with Chemistry from a recognised board of education.

Integrated M.Sc in Computer Science/ Integrated M.C.A.

  • Class 12th or equivalent exam in any stream from a recognised board of education. 

Integrated M.Sc in Economics

  • Class 12th or equivalent exam with English and Maths from a recognised board of education

B.Tech in Electrical Engineering

  • Class 12th or equivalent exam in Science stream with Chemistry from a recognised board of education.
  • Physics and Mathematics must be compulsory subjects in 10+2 along with Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Biotechnology/ Biology and Electronics

B.Voc

  • Class 12th or equivalent exam from a recognised board of education. Students with NSQF certification levels may also apply for the degree.
  • Students who have passed an equivalent exam from a polytechnic in the same field are also free to apply.

B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering/ B.Sc in Physics, BSc in Chemistry, and BSc in Mathematics

  • Class 12th or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Maths from a recognised board of education.

B.A in Social Science

  • Class 12th or equivalent exam in any stream

B.Sc in Textiles

  • Class 12th or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised board of education.

  • To apply for UG admission through CUET 2024, a candidate should check the policies regarding quota, category, reservations, relaxation, subject combinations, qualifications, and preferences of the respective educational institutes/universities.
  • The CUET 2024 eligibility criteria can be different for each university. Candidates must visit the website of the desired institution before applying for CUET admission.
  • Appearing for the CUET 2024 test and securing passing marks are not the only requirements to get admission through CUET UG 2024. Ineligible candidates will be disqualified and not be considered for admission.

Yes. The 12th marks obtained or equivalent examination are important for the CUET eligibility criteria 2024. In the CUET exam, 12th marks are often considered during the admission process. Central universities may use 12th marks as one of the criteria for shortlisting candidates but candidates must have minimum educational requirements, including a certain percentage of marks in the 12th standard.

No, you can not get admission in Aditi Mahavidyalaya Delhi based on 12th marks. For admission to B.A. (Programme), B.A. (Hons.) Geography, B.A. (Hons.) Social Work, B.A. (Hons.) Hindi Patrakarita Evam Jansanchar, B.Com. (Hons.), B.Com. and B.El.Ed at Aditi Mahavidyalaya Delhi, you have to take CUET exam. All UG admissions at the college are based on the CUET scores and done through Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS).

Yes, the CUET exam is compulsory for admission to undergraduate programs offered by Central Universities and all their affiliated colleges. Admission at the 45 central universities will be done through the CUET exam only instead of a candidate's class 12 marks.
