JEE Advanced 2019 Participating Colleges

The list of JEE Advanced 2019 Participating Colleges will be released in online mode on its official website. All the candidates who qualify the national-level engineering exam, will be eligible to take admission in the 23 IITs (short for Indian Institutes of Technology) as well as other 9 institutes such as IISC Bangalore, IIPE Visakhapatnam, IISER Bhopal, IISER Mohali, IISER Kolkata, IISER Pune, IISER Thiruvananthapuram, IIST Thiruvananthapuram and RGIPT Rae Bareli, which offer admission to candidates on the basis of JEE Advanced rank (AIR).

After qualifying the JEE Advanced exam, candidates will have to participate in the JEE Advanced online counselling where they will have to fill in the choice of programme and college in which they want to take admission. It is only done on the basis of the rank secured by the candidates in the merit list that candidates will be awarded seats to various B.Tech programmes in different JEE Advanced 2019 participating institutes.

JEE (short for Joint Entrance Examination) is one of the toughest examinations for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes in prestigious engineering institutes across India. The JEE examination is organised in two phases for admission to engineering programmes. The first phase is JEE Main and the second phase is JEE Advanced. Some institutes offer admissions on the basis of JEE Main scores and some on the basis of JEE Advanced scores.

In 2018, the top 2,24,000 candidates qualifying paper 1 of JEE Main has been shortlisted to appear in JEE Advanced. IIT Kanpur organised the JEE Advanced 2018 on 20th May 2018 in computer-based test (CBT) mode. The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) use the scores of JEE advanced for admission to their UG engineering programmes.

Important Points to Remember

Below are some important points that candidates should know about the participating colleges/institutes of JEE Advanced 2019.

  • Before selecting the participating colleges, candidates must have a full-fledged knowledge about the institute/college where they want to take admission.

  • The cut-off marks determined by each institution will be one of the deciding factors in the selection of candidates.

  • After the announcement of JEE Advanced result, all the participating institutes release their cut-offs separately.

  • The selection of candidates for admission in the shortlisted college/institute will be solely based on the marks obtained by the candidates.

  • Before joining the college /institute, candidates must do some research regarding the background of the college/institute, year of establishment and number of batches etc.
