MICAT 2020 Result (Phase 1 Live Now)

MICA Ahmedabad has released the MICAT I scorecard on December 23, 2019, while the MICAT II scorecard will be available on February 14, 2020. The scorecard of MICAT 2020 is based on the candidates’ performance in the entrance examination. MICAT-I 2020 scorecard has been published after taking into account the performance of the candidate in each section of the exam. Based on the marks scored, candidates will be shortlisted for the next step of the admission process i.e. MICAT 2020 Selection Process, which comprises of Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI).

The scorecard of MICAT 2020 can be viewed through the direct link mentioned above. Candidates will be able to get their results by providing their Application Number. Candidates will be able to view their MICAT results online by entering their login credentials – User ID and Password. Once the admission process is over, MICA prepares a final merit list of shortlisted candidates.

How to Check MICAT 2020 Results

Applicants may follow the steps mentioned below to check their result.

  • Log on to the official website www.mica.ac.in
  • On the homepage, click on the link available to access the result.
  • You will be redirected to a page where you have to enter your login credentials.
  • Click on the 'Login' tab after entering the required credentials and your scorecard will be displayed on the screen.
  • Download and save your MICAT 2020 scorecard.
  • Take a print out of the result for future reference.

Details on MICAT 2020 Result

MICAT result displays the following details:

  • Total scores

  • Qualifying status

  • Candidate’s name

  • Roll number

  • Candidate’s photograph

  • Candidate’s signature

  • Stamp of MICAT conducting authority

Calculation of MICAT Result 2020

  • It is compulsory for the candidates to qualify for the Psychometric Test section.

  • There is no negative marking applicable on Psychometric and Descriptive sections.

  • The negative marking of 0.25 marks is applicable only on Verbal Ability, General Awareness, Quantitative Ability, and Data Interpretation, and Divergent and Convergent Thinking Sections.

  • Every incorrect response in Verbal Ability, General Awareness, Quantitative Ability, and Data Interpretation, and Divergent and Convergent Thinking sections, the 0.25 negative marking is applicable.

Calculation of MICAT 2020 Scaled Scores/Normalised Scores:

  • The score secured individually by an applicant in each sub-section of MICAT exam (MICAT-I/MICAT-II) e.g. Verbal Ability will be converted into a normalised score.

  • The normalised scores will be calculated separately for each sub-section.

  • The scores will be normalised using appropriate statistical methods by considering scores of all qualified candidates up to the applicable stage 

  • Normalised Scores Calculation Formula: Score of Verbal Ability of the applicant/ Maximum score obtained by any candidate those who appear in the MICAT examination. Multiplied by Maximum Possible Score in the Verbal Ability section of MICAT examination.
