Several factors helped determine the OJEE 2024 cutoff ranks. The OJEEC releases opening and closing ranks for each course and stream, signifying the maximum and minimum ranks required for admission to a particular course. The following are some of the important factors affecting OJEE cutoff ranks:
1. Difficulty level of OJEE exam: The overall difficulty level of the OJEE 2025 exam is one of the major factors determining the cutoff scores. A question paper with a high difficulty level may result in lower cutoffs as fewer numbers of students are expected to qualify for the exam.
2. Number of applicants: The total number of students participating in the OJEE exam can also affect the cutoff marks. When a large number of students participate, a larger number of students are expected to pass, which may result in higher cutoff ranks.
3. Number of available seats: The number of available seats also helps decide the OJEE cutoff ranks. More seats may result in lower cutoff ranks as more students will be able to get admission.
4. Reservation criteria: OJEEC offers admissions to UG and PG programs based on the reservation criteria prescribed by the government agencies. Each college has a specific number of seats reserved for SC/ST/OBC/EWS category students. Therefore, cutoff ranks are released separately for each category.
