The registration fee for Indian Nationals willing to appear for the UCEED 2026 exam for the General Category is INR 4,000. For candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PwD categories, the registration fees are INR 2,000. Lastly, the registration fees for female candidates under UCEED 2026 guidelines are INR 2,000.
If the total marks obtained by two or more candidates are the same, then the following tie-break policy will be used for awarding ranks:
- A higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Part B.
- If the criterion given in (i) does not break the tie, a higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Section 2 of Part A.\
- If the criteria (i) and (ii) do not break the tie, then a higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Section 1 of Part A.
- If there is a tie even after this, the candidates will be assigned the same rank.
The syllabus for UCEED 2026 is also divided into two sections, Part A and Part B. The syllabus of UCEED 2026 Part A consists of topics like visualisation and spatial reasoning, practical and scientific knowledge, observation and design sensitivity, environment and society, analytical and logical reasoning, language, and creativity. On the other hand, the UCEED 2026 Part B syllabus will test the student based on their sketching and design aptitude.
The exam pattern for UCEED 2026 will consist of 2 sections, Part A and Part B. It is compulsory to attempt questions from both parts. The question paper’s medium will be English. UCEED 2026 Part A will be divided into 3 sections wherein objective-type questions will be asked of students in the form of NATs, MSQs, and MCQs. UCEED 2026 Part B will consist of 2 questions of 50 marks each. The first question will be based on sketching and the latter on design aptitude.
For candidates to appear for the UCEED Exam 2026, they should be eligible according to the guidelines mentioned by the conducting institute, IIT Bombay. The Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design 2026 eligibility criteria state that the students appearing for the UCEED 2026 must have passed Class 12th or its equivalent from a recognised board in the year 2204 or 2026. Students appearing for UCEED 2026 could have completed their Class 12th from any stream (Science, Commerce, Arts). As for the age limit for this exam, the candidate should have been born on or after October 1, 2000, if belonging to the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category and born on or after October 1, 1995, if belonging to the SC, ST or PwD category.
