Meeting the eligibility criteria is essential to apply for the exam. Applicants should review the following general requirements to ensure they qualify. They must be Indian citizens or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) to apply. For Engineering & Technology programs, applicants must be at least 17 years old by December 31, 2026, with no upper age limit. However, for admission to the Marine Engineering course, there is an upper age limit of 25 years.

The application fee for WBJEE can be paid through debit/credit card or net banking. After the successful payment of the application fee, an online receipt will be automatically generated. Please ensure that you keep this receipt safe as it will be required at the time of WBJEE 2026 counseling and admissions. To fill out the online application form, students must visit the WBJEE official website i.e. www.wbjeeb.nic.in 2026. Click on the ‘New Registration’ link on the homepage. Provide registration details such as name, date of birth, father’s name, mother’s name, mobile number, email address etc. Then fill up academic details and information related to income, nationality, address, choice of exam centres, religion etc. Next, they must choose a security Question/Answer to generate a password. The photograph should be taken on or after 1st December, 2024. The image should not be blurred and the student should keep the same Image/photograph for future use like counselling, admission etc.
