About JNUEE 2018

Every year, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) conducts JNUEE for candidates seeking admission into its various undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD courses. Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their performance in Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Exam (JNUEE). The main aim of conducting JNUEE is conducted to shortlist deserving candidates with the right aptitude and skills to pursue the course of their choice at the University. JNUEE 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for JNUEE 2018, candidates must cross-check the eligibility criteria prescribed by the university. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility norms will be allowed to take the entrance exam.

M.A. in Economics (with specialisation in World Economy)

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% aggregate marks in the following subjects:

  • Economics (Hons.) with Mathematics as a subsidiary subject or

  • Mathematics (Hons.) with Economics as a subsidiary subject or

  • Statistics (Hons.) with Mathematics and Economics as a subsidiary subject.

  • Any bachelor’s degree passed with Mathematics and Economics by securing 60% marks.

MCA

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree (like BCA or B.Tech) with Mathematics in 10+2 or at Graduate level with at least 55% marks.

B.A. (Hons) 1st-year

  • Candidates must have Passed/appearing 10+2 or equivalent examination with minimum 45% marks.

  • Certificate of Alimiah with at least 45% marks and passed English Language subject at the senior secondary level or a 3-year course conducted by Darul-Uloom Deoband.

M.A. in Politics (with specialisation in International Studies) & M.A. in (International Relations and Area Studies)

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline passed with not less than 50% marks.

B.A. (Hons) 2nd year in German

Candidates must have the First year of Bachelor’s degree or an examination recognized as equivalent with at least 50% marks under 10+2+3 pattern with proficiency in German.

Ph.D (Direct Admission)

Candidates must have 2-years M.Phil degree or 1-year M.Phil with one-year research experience and one publication.
Or

Minimum 2-years Research experience after Master’s degree or diploma equivalent of Master degree with research publication. Moreover, master’s degree should be passed with at least 55% marks.

M.Sc (Life Sciences)

Candidates must have Bachelor’s (B. Sc. or B Tech or equivalent) in:

Biological, Physical or Agricultural Sciences or Biotechnology under the 10+2+3 pattern of education with at least 55% marks.

B.A. (Hons) 2nd year other than German

  • Candidates must have the First year of Bachelor’s degree or an examination recognised as equivalent with at least 45% marks under 10+2+3 pattern with proficiency in a concerned language.

M.Phil/ Ph.D. & Ph.D. (Through JRF)

  • Candidates must have passed M.Sc in a relevant subject.

  • Candidates who have qualified for the examination for a fellowship through a national level written test, i.e. JRF category under CSIR/UGC National Eligibility Test (NET)-JRF, DBT-JRF (Category-I), ICMR-JRF, INSPIRE Fellowship, Ayush Fellowship, Bioinformatic National Certification (BINC) examination (conducted by DBT) or any other fellowship awarded from Government of India.

M.Phil/ Ph.D.

Candidates must have passed master’s degree in the related discipline.

M.Tech/ Ph.D.

Candidates must have passed Master Degree in Computer Science or Mathematics or Statistics or Operational Research or in any branch of Science or Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering or MCA by securing minimum 55% marks.

JNUEE 2018 Result

JNUEE 2018 Cut-off

The cut-off of JNUEE 2018 is determined by JNU for different courses. The cut-off is the minimum marks that candidate must score to get shortlisted for admissions. The cut-off of JNUEE 2018 will be based on the overall performance and marks/rank scored by the candidate in the entrance exam.

JNUEE 2018 Counselling Process

The counselling process of JNUEE begins after the result declaration. Candidates meeting the merit list prepared on the basis of written exam and viva-voce participate in JNUEE counselling.

  • There is a separate merit list for all the categories.

  • The names of the shortlisted candidates are published after result declaration.

JNU Admission Procedure

JNUEE Admit Card 2018

The admit card of JNUEE 2018 will be released by Jawaharlal Nehru University in online mode for the candidates who have successfully registered for the exam. JNUEE 2018 admit card will be issued in the last week of December 2018 and candidates can download the admit card by visiting the official website of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). Filling Academic and Personal Information:

  • After registering, candidates are required to fill up their personal details, academic qualification, details of school/ college of qualified degree/ examination, category i.e. General/ OBC/ SC/ ST.

  • In application form of JNUEE 2018, candidates can select up to three courses.

Upload Documents:

  • After filling the details, the next step is to upload documents.

  • For Photograph, the size should be 20 to 50 KB, with a light colour background and it has to be 150 pixel wide and 200 pixel in height.

  • For Signature, the size should be 10 to 20 KB, signed with a black or blue ink ball point pen, with 140 pixel wide and 60 pixel height.
