NMIMS NPAT or NMIMS National Test for Programs After Twelfth (NMIMS NPAT) is a university-level entrance exam conducted by NMIMS University. The exam is conducted for admission in the undergraduate as well as integrated degree program of  SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies. Candidates who are going to appear for the entrance exam must prepare well. NMIMS NPAT will be conducted online covering questions from Quantitative and Numerical Ability, Reasoning, and General Intelligence and Proficiency in the English Language.

Candidates may start by preparing strategies for all the sections separately or they can focus on boosting up their weaknesses. It must be noted that the preparation strategy of the candidates should be prepared in such a way that all the sections of the exam are covered. Candidates may refer to the exam pattern of NMIMS NPAT and the syllabus of NMINS NPAT while preparing the exam strategy. This will also allow them to all the topics which will be covered in the entrance exam. 

How to Clear NMIMS NPAT 2024

Candidates should plan their preparation strategy before starting preparation for the exam. Some of the tips provided below will surely help the candidates while preparing for the exam. Give a maximum number of mock tests and then analyze your scores thoroughly to understand your strengths and weaknesses.

• You should focus on covering all the topics but the quality of preparation should not be compromised. 
• You are advised to complete all syllabus before one or two months of the exam so that you can assign the next two months for revision.
• Speed is one of the most important factors while we are preparing for the entrance exam. You should focus on solving the maximum number of problems within less time to improve your speed and time management skills.
• All the candidates are advised to prepare notes while preparing for the exam so that you can have a quick go through while you are going for the exam. This will also protect them from reading complete syllabus again.
• You are advised to read newspapers and magazines on a regular basis to improve your vocabulary and reading skills. A regular habit of reading will surely help you score good scores in the English proficiency section.
• Identify words that you are not familiar with, and try to understand their meaning and use.
• You may solve riddles, sudoku and puzzles to strengthen your quantitative skills.
• Solving previous year question papers is also very important because it will help you to understand the exam structure and types of questions which will be asked in the exam. Sometimes some types of questions are asked from previous year papers.

Important Instructions for NMIMS NPAT 2024

• You are advised to have a good sleep before the night of exam day
• You should reach the exam venue half or one hour before the exam so that you get enough time to get familiar with the examination hall and instructions.
• You should start answering questions from the section in which you are comfortable. Suppose you are good at mathematics then you can start solving quantitative problems. After that, you can decide which section to solve next.
• You must remember that there is a “review” option available next to every question. The option allows you to review or change the answer once you have completed answering all the problems. This will help you to think again about the problems you are not sure about. 
• You must focus on scoring a good sectional as well as an overall cut-off to score a good percentage at last.
• If you are stuck on any question then you should skip that question as there is a time limit for the exam. You can come back to that question again after answering all the questions.
• You must be confident while answering the problems. 
• As you will get only 120 minutes to answer all the problems, you may divide the time as mentioned below.
  • Quantitative & Numerical Ability (50Q) – 35-40 minutes
  • Reasoning & General Intelligence (50Q) – 40-45 minutes
  • English (50Q) – 30-35 minutesUnattempted questions – 5-10 minutes
