MAT 2026 Percentile is one of the key information on the scorecard of a candidate. The percentage of test-takers having a score lower than that of the candidate is known as its MAT 2026 Percentile. MAT 2026 Percentile of a candidate is calculated after calculating the composite score of the candidate. Candidates are then ranked as per their score and the percentile is calculated based on their rank. For example, if 100 candidates appeared for the exam and the candidate's rank was 20, then their percentile will be calculated as (100 - 20)/100 percentile i.e. 80 percentile.
MAT 2026 Score and Percentile are calculated on the basis of marks obtained in four sections of the examination namely, Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis & Sufficiency and Intelligence & Critical Reasoning. The score acquired in the Indian & Global Environment section is not taken into consideration. Here are a few important pointers explaining how is MAT Score/Percentile Calculated?
Each question asked in the MAT exam carries one mark.
0.25 marks are reduced for each incorrect attempt.
No marks are deducted for unattempted questions.
Scores of the four sections mentioned above are reported on a scale of 0-100.
Scores below 20 and above 80 are counted as rare.
The Composite Score of MAT is reported on a scale of 199 to 801.
In the MAT Composite scores 2026, scores below 200 or above 800 are reported as common.
MAT percentile 2026 is calculated taking into consideration the performance of each candidate versus all candidates.
