What’s Next After MAT Cutoff 2020?

After the MAT cutoff, 2020 scores are declared, the eligible candidates have to undergo a selection procedure which is unique for each MAT 2020 participating college. The MAT 2020 selection procedure is Institute-specific where some Institutes offer direct admission to the students on the basis of their MAT 2020 scores whereas some of the top B-Schools in India shortlist the students on the basis of their MAT 2020 result followed by a series of selection rounds.

After the cutoff for MAT 2020 is released, the candidates have to go through the following pre-admission stages for those Institutes which shortlist the candidates on the basis of their MAT 2020 scores and some additional factors such as:

  1. Group Discussion

  2. Personal Interview

  3. Written Ability Test

Most of the colleges nowadays give more weightage to the Written Ability Test round which helps them identify if the candidates are worthy enough to be allocated a seat in their desired colleges.

After the conclusion of all these three rounds, the qualified and eligible candidates have to appear in the MAT 2020 selection process which is all set to begin mid-October, 2020.
