The list of CMAT 2019 participating institutes includes colleges that will accept CMAT 2019 scores. The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a popular exam taken by management aspirants in order to become eligible for admission in over 1000 participating institutes. Around 70,000 candidates appear for the entrance test every year to pursue management education from some of the best B-Schools in India.
Until this year, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) used to be the conducting body of CMAT. However, from 2019 onwards, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will be responsible for holding the CMAT for management aspirants. NTA will also be listing the CMAT 2019 participating institutes.
An important piece of information that candidates must keep in mind is that they have to apply to each of the CMAT 2019 participating institutes separately. The admission or application fee is also likely to be different for each institute. Another important point to note is that every CMAT participating institute releases its individual cut-off marks post the announcement of exam result. Those who meet the cut-off become qualified for admission to the CMAT 2019 participating institute of their preference.
Once the CMAT 2019 results are announced, candidates are shortlisted for further rounds of admission such as Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI) or Written Ability Test (WAT) based on the list of shortlisted candidates.
Finally, candidates are offered admission into the MBA and PGDM programmes at participating institutes of CMAT 2019 on the basis of their performance in these rounds. In this article, you will find all the relevant information related to CMAT participating institutes 2019.
When it comes to choosing a college, there are many factors that students should keep in mind in order to make the right choice. Studying at a popular and reputed college not only opens the door to great opportunities but also builds a student's character, shapes his/her beliefs and thoughts in a way that it gives an instant boost to his/her career.
Take a look at some of the best following factors that could be considered while shortlisting the best business schools.
Is the institute affiliated to a university or is it autonomous?
Knowing that the institutions where you wish to apply are affiliated to a university or are autonomous is an important information that you should have beforehand. The advantage of studying in a college, which is affiliated to a University, is that it builds a strong foundation for students by providing concept clarity and basic knowledge about a particular subject. On the other hand, the best part about autonomous colleges is that they keep their curriculum updated keeping the industry standards and requirements in mind.
Whether or not the institution is approved by a recognised body?
When you sit down to apply for MBA from any institution, make sure it has approval from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Institutions that are offering MBA or equivalent courses without AICTE's approval will not be recognised and will have no value in the market. Therefore, it is necessary that you invest your time and money in a reputed institution, which has approval from a recognised body.
How is the faculty at the institute?
A B-school should be able to bring out the best in the students through the continuous support from its faculty members. A team of distinguished, full-time, and qualified faculty is necessary to provide the necessary guidance to students. You should also find out about the guest lectures at the institute. Also, try to know what is the ratio between the full-time faculty and the visiting faculty.
How much money has to be invested?
Management education can be a costly affair, and therefore, it's important to ensure that your preferred institution brings you the right ROI (Return on Investment). It only makes sense to invest in an institution that has a good track record of training and placement, although you can get education loan on easy terms from numerous banks.
How is the college campus?
One of the biggest concerns among students when choosing a college is its infrastructure. It is, therefore, advisable that you pay a visit to the campus before joining, and find out all about the facilities in the classrooms and otherwise. You could also check out the hostel accommodations, Internet connectivity, library, Wi-Fi, cafeteria and so on. The campus should be student-friendly, safe, comfortable and it should have the right environment to support studies.
What is the quality of the placements?
This is the most important factor that must be considered while choosing a B-School. Before judging a college, you should go through its placement record details such as the company profiles, recruitment sectors, average salary and more. Apart from knowing about the quality of placements, you should also know what kind of companies visit the campus for recruitment.
Is it a brand name in the industry?
One of the perks of studying at a brand name is that you are offered the best salary packages as soon as you pass out of the course and enter the job market. Such institutions make students job-ready and have the best industry linkages. Adding a 'branded' institution to your profile will instantly boost your resume.
