The GATE official marking scheme: Every question is worth either 1 or 2 marks. 1-mark and 2-mark MSQs. Multiple-choice questions carry negative marking, while NAT questions do not. The negative marking is ⅓ marks for a 1-marker multiple-choice question and ⅔ marks for a 2-marker MCQ.
