MHT-CET 2020 Counselling Process

MHT CET 2020 results will be announced in the month of June 2020.The next important stage in the MHT CET 2019 exam is the counselling process. The MHT CET 2020 counselling process will begin in online mode. The State Common Entrance Test Cell of Maharashtra is responsible for conducting the counselling process for MHT CET 2020. Candidates aspiring for admission in Engineering, Pharmacy and other courses that come under the ambit of MHT CET 2020 must participate in the counselling process conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell. As the counselling schedule of MHT CET 2020 is announced, the candidates with a valid MHT CET score must start registering for MHT CET counselling process.

Detailed Counselling Procedure for MHT CET 2020

The counselling process for MHT CET 2020 will begin only after the conclusion of the online application process for CAP. The candidates must register for CAP through the specified official website to be eligible for the MHT CET counselling process.  The detailed counselling process for MHT CET 2020 can be checked below -

Document Verification

  • After the submission of online application for MHT CET CAP 2020, the candidates will have to visit the nearest facilitation centre for document verification.
  • The printout of application form will have the list of documents that candidates must carry for the verification process.
  • The in-charge of facilitation centre will verify the documents of candidates and issue a Receipt cum Acknowledgement
  • The application form submitted by candidates for CAP shall be confirmed only after verifying the documents.

Display of MHT CET Provisional Merit List

  • After verifying the application form of candidates, the exam authority will release the MHT CET 2020 provisional merit of candidates.
  • Candidates who feature in the provisional merit list are eligible to participate in the subsequent rounds of MHT CET counselling process.
  • If the candidates have any discrepancy with the provisional merit list, they can raise an objection with the concerned authority.
  • The provisional merit list of MHT CET 2020 is purely based on the rank secured by the candidates in the entrance exam.

Display of MHT CET Final Merit List 2019

  • After verifying the objections on the provisional merit list, the exam authority will release a final merit list for MHT CET 2020 CAP.

Display of Category-Wise Seats

  • Once the final merit list of MHT CET 2020 is released, the category wise seats or seat matrix is released for CAP rounds.

Filling Online Option Form (Underway)

  • After checking the seats available for the respective CAP round, the candidates must submit the online choice form or online option form.
  • The candidates need to login on the official website to fill the online option form.

How Many Options Can a Candidate Choose in the Options Form?

  • Each participant of the CAP is allowed to choose 300 choices of Institutes and Choices.
  • The candidates must give priority number or preference number of each institute and course opted by them in the online choice entry form.
  • After confirming the options in the online entry form, the candidates will not be allowed to make changes.

Display of Provisional Allotment

  • Before the final allotment of seats, a provisional allotment list will be published on the official website. The candidates can check the college he/she has been allocated.
  • If the candidates secure a seat as per his/her first preference, the allotment will be auto freeze.
  • Candidates who have been allocated seat other than the first preference must accept the seat by choosing Freeze option and report to ARC so that they are eligible to participate in subsequent rounds of counselling.
  • Candidates who have been marked auto freeze must report to ARC within the specified date and pay the prescribed fee to confirm the allotment.

Reporting to Institute

  • Finally, the candidates must download the seat allotment letter and report to the institute within the specified date.

Note: The exam authority will conduct the CAP Round II and CAP Round III depending on the vacant seats available.

Documents Required for MHT CET 2020 Counselling

All the qualified candidates will have to carry the below-mentioned documents/certificates in original and their photocopy to the MHT-CET counselling venue.

  • School/College ID Card, Aadhar Card/Any Other Photo ID Proof

  • MHTCET 2020 Medical Exam Hall Ticket And Mark sheet

  • Nationality Certificate Issued By District Magistrate/Additional District Magistrate Or Metropolitan Magistrate (Competent Authority For Issue Of Such Certificate)/Valid Indian Passport Or School Leaving Certificate Of HSC/12th Std. Indicating The Nationality Of The Candidate As ‘Indian’

Applicability of Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS)

The exam authority reserves 5% of seats in engineering/pharmacy courses offered by various colleges under Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TWFS). The TFWS is applicable only for institutes where 30% of seats are filled through Centralized Admission Process (CAP). Only the tuition fee is a waiver under this scheme. Candidates who fall under Maharashtra Candidature category are eligible to register for admission in engineering/ pharmacy courses under TFWS. In order to be eligible for this scheme, MHT CET 2020 qualified candidates should note that his/her parent’s family income should not be more than Rs. 6,00,000 per annum.

Seat Reservation Policy for MHT CET 2020

Only the candidates belonging to Maharashtra state are eligible for reservation through the counselling process of MHT CET 2020. The seats available in engineering/ pharmacy courses in various colleges across the state are filled as per the reservation policy of the state government. These reservations are only applicable for MHT CET 2020 Centralized Admission Process (CAP). The division of seats across various categories can be checked below -

How to Fill Online Application Form for MHT CET Counselling 2020?

State Entrance Test Cell (Maharashtra) is the authority to conduct the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for admission in courses mentioned above. The exam authority will invite the online application from candidates with a valid MHT CET score. The candidates will have to register for MHT CET counselling through the official website of State Entrance Test Cell (Maharashtra). While filling the application form, the candidates must upload the scanned copies of relevant documents.
