MHT CET 2025 Counselling

MHT CET Counselling 2025: The CET Cell Maharashtra closed the registration window for the counselling process on July 8, 2025 and activated the choice filling option on July 8, 2025, which will close on  July 10, 2025 (today). The seat allotment result for the first round 1 counselling result will be released on July 22, 2025. On the other hand, the provisional merit list for the MHT CET 205 counselling will be released on July 12, 2025, and the final merit list will be released on July 17, 2025. The registered candidates will be able to check the provisional and final merit list on the official website: fe2025.mahacet.org.

MHT CET Counselling 2025 - Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to participate in the MHT CET counselling process 2025 are required to qualify for the Maharashtra CET entrance exam. Furthermore, candidates need to meet the minimum admission MHT CET eligibility criteria 2025 before registering for the counselling.

Maharashtra State Candidates

  • Candidate should be an Indian National.
  • Quawill tentatively begin in July 2025.lified HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subjects, or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies and obtained at least 45 % marks (at least 40 % marks, in case of Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together; and The Candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in the MHT CET 2025 exam and should obtain non zero score in MHT CET 2025 conducted by the Competent Authority.

OR

  • Qualified for a Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 45 % marks (at least 40 % marks, in case of Backward class categories Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).

MHT CET Counselling Process 2025

The MHT CET counselling process begins only after the conclusion of the online application process for CAP. The candidates must register for CAP through the specified official website to be eligible for the MHT CET counselling process.  The detailed counselling process for MHT CET can be checked below -

Online Document Verification

  • The document verification will be conducted online for the academic session 2025-26, and the candidates will have to successfully upload the documents before the last date of CAP registration shall be included in the verification process
  • The candidates will receive an SMS after the successful verification of documents
  • The candidates are not required to visit the Helpline Centre for document verification 

Display of MHT CET Provisional Merit List

  • After verifying the application form of candidates, the exam authority will release the MHT CET 2025 provisional merit of candidates.
  • Candidates who feature in the provisional merit list are eligible to participate in the subsequent rounds of the MHT CET counselling process.
  • If the candidates have any discrepancy with the provisional merit list, they can raise an objection with the concerned authority.
  • The provisional merit list of MHT CET 2025 is purely based on the rank secured by the candidates in the entrance exam.

Display of MHT CET Final Merit List 2025

  • After verifying the objections on the provisional merit list, the exam authority will release a final merit list for MHT CET 2025 CAP.

Display of Category-Wise Seats

  • Once the final merit list of MHT CET 2025 is released, the category wise seats or seat matrix is released for CAP rounds.

Filling Online Option Form 

  • After checking the seats available for the respective CAP round, the candidates must submit the online choice form or online option form.
  • The candidates need to login on the official website to fill the online option form.

How Many Options Can a Candidate Choose in the Options Form?

  • Each participant of the CAP is allowed to choose 300 choices of Institutes and Choices.
  • The candidates must give the priority number or reference number of each institute and course opted by them in the online choice entry form.
  • After confirming the options in the online entry form, the candidates will not be allowed to make changes.

Display of Provisional Allotment

  • Candidates who have been allocated a seat as per the first option will have to accept the seat allotment and pay the admission fee.
  • Candidates who have not been allocated a seat as per the first option can participate in subsequent rounds by choosing 'Not Freeze'. These candidates can either self-freeze the already allocated seat or reject the same. 

Reporting to Institute

  • Finally, the candidates must download the seat allotment letter and report to the institute within the specified date.

Note: The exam authority will conduct the CAP Round II and CAP Round III depending on the vacant seats available.

Applicability of Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS)

The conducting body reserves 5% of seats available in the engineering/pharmacy programmes offered by different institutes under the Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TWFS). The TFWS is relevant specifically for those colleges where 30% of the seats get filled via the Centralised Admission Process (CAP). The tuition fee is specifically the only waiver under this scheme. Candidates coming under the Maharashtra Candidature category are eligible to apply for admission across engineering and pharmacy programmes under TFWS. Candidates qualifying MHT CET 2025 should keep in mind that his/her parent’s family income must not be more than Rs. 6,00,000 per annum for them to be eligible for the scheme.

MHT CET Seat Reservation Policy 2025

Candidates residing in the state of Maharashtra  are only eligible for reservation via the MHT CET counselling process 2025. The seats available for the engineering/pharmacy programmes across the different institutes of the state are filled according to the reservation policy of the Maharashtra government. The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, is in charge of conducting the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for granting admission to eligible candidates. MHT CET Seat Allotment 2025

The MHT CET Seat Allotment 2025 will be released after every round of MHT CET counselling 2025. The counselling process of MHT CET takes place online across three rounds via a Centralised Admission Process (CAP). Candidates will be able to check the MHT CET seat allotment result 2025 using the MHT CET 2025 application ID and password. Candidates who are allotted seats will be required to download their MHT CET 2025 Seat Allotment letter and report to the allotted institute for the further admission process.
