Category - A
Candidates who fall under this category must register for the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by State Entrance Test Cell (Maharashtra).
Category - B
Candidates aspiring for admission under this category must appear for the certificate verification process conducted by the competent authority. Once the above process is done, the candidates can apply to the institutes directly.
Maharashtra State Candidature is specifically applicable to students who have passed the qualifying exam in a specific university jurisdiction or area. The candidates can check the list of regions that fall under the jurisdiction of various universities in Maharashtra below.

Note: Maharashtra Candidature category students may view the list of engineering/ pharmacy colleges located in the districts that fall under the jurisdiction of a specific university during the choice filling process.
The exam authority reserves 5% of seats in engineering/pharmacy courses offered by various colleges under Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TWFS). The TFWS is applicable only for institutes where 30% of seats are filled through Centralized Admission Process (CAP). Only the tuition fee is a waiver under this scheme. Candidates who fall under Maharashtra Candidature category are eligible to register for admission in engineering/ pharmacy courses under TFWS. In order to be eligible for this scheme, MHT CET 2020 qualified candidates should note that his/her parent’s family income should not be more than Rs. 6,00,000 per annum.
Only the candidates belonging to Maharashtra state are eligible for reservation through the counselling process of MHT CET 2020. The seats available in engineering/ pharmacy courses in various colleges across the state are filled as per the reservation policy of the state government. These reservations are only applicable for MHT CET 2020 Centralized Admission Process (CAP). The division of seats across various categories can be checked below -

State Entrance Test Cell (Maharashtra) is the authority to conduct the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for admission in courses mentioned above. The exam authority will invite the online application form from candidates with a valid MHT CET score.
