What is Composite MAT Score?
MAT composite scores are calculated on the basis of the candidates’ performance in the first four sections. It does not include the scores of the 5th section. Check the points listed below to understand the calculation of MAT composite score
The composite score of MAT is on a scale of 199 to 801. The composite score less than 200 or more than 800 is not very common
Sectional score less than 20 & more than 80 is rare
All scores below 200 are will be considered to be 199 & all scores above 800 are reported as 801. For example, even if you get less than 199, your composite score will be reported as 199. Similarly, for scores above 801, it will be reported as 801 only

What is MAT Percentile?
The scorecard of MAT will contain the percentile as well as marks of the candidates. The percentile of MAT is the percentage of all candidates who scored less than a candidate. For example, if a candidate has scored 98 percentile marks then 98 per cent aspirants have scored less than that candidate.
MAT percentile is calculated using the formula provided below.
MAT Percentile Score = (Composite scores obtained by a candidate/ Total number of candidates) * 100 |
