CEED 2024 eligibility criteria is the most important factor to decide whether the candidates can apply for the CEED exam 2024 or not. The candidate must be well aware of the factors needed to be eligible for the CEED entrance test. IIT Bombay, the conducting body of CEED 2024 prescribes the eligibility criteria of this design entrance exam. The eligibility criteria of CEED 2024 comprises factors such as academic qualifications, marks in the exams, nationality, age, etc. Based on all these parameters it is judged whether the candidate is eligible to apply for the exam or not. The eligibility criteria is applicable for admission to several CEED 2024 participating institutes

CEED 2024 exam is conducted to offer admission to the candidates for the MDes course available in IIT Kanpur, IIITDM Jabalpur, IIT Delhi, IISc Bangalore, IIT Guwahati, IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad. CEED 2024 Eligibility Criteria: Important Parameters

There are a few factors that the candidate must fulfil to apply for the CEED exam 2024. The candidates can check the eligibility criteria of CEED 2024 in the table mentioned below.



Educational Qualification

The candidates must have done a diploma/degree course/post-graduate programme for 3 years minimum after (10+2),

Candidates who have completed the 5-year programme (10+5) in GD Arts are also eligible to apply for CEED. 

Education Degree

Candidates having a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts (4-year professional programme after 10+2) can apply for a Master’s programme in Designing.

Candidates possessing a Master’s degree in Science/ Arts/ Computer Applications (2-year programme after 10+2+3) may also apply

The candidates must have passed from a recognised university/board.  

Age Limit

There is no age bar in the CEED exam. Candidates can apply at any age for the CEED entrance test.

Number of attempts for the CEED exam

There is no bar on the attempts for the CEED entrance exam

Final Year student of graduation 

Final-year candidates are also eligible to apply for CEED, but such candidates must provide proof of their qualifications at the time of counselling. 

Important Note: The admission to the participating institution eligibility criteria differs from the eligibility criteria for appearing in the CEED entrance test. The candidates are requested to confirm from the concerned authorities of CEED about the admission criteria for the respective institutes before sitting for the CEED entrance exam 2024.

In which format should I upload my photograph in the CEED application process?

The photo you provide as part of the CEED application process should be in JPEG or PNG format. The image should have a minimum file size of 5KB and a maximum file size of 100 KB. The photo should be passport-size and have a white backdrop.

Which documents are required for the application submission of CEED?

The documents required for CEED application process are scanned copies of passport sized photographs, signature, mark sheets of class 10th, 12th and graduation, and caste certificate (if applicable).

What is the eligibility criteria for CEED?

The eligibility criteria for CEED state that the candidate must either have a bachelor's degree in Design, Engineering, Architecture, Fine Arts, etc. or a master's degree in Science, Arts, or Computer Applications. He/ she must have secured the degree from a recognised university and must have scored at least 50% aggregate marks.

Is there any age limit for applying for CEED?

No, there is no upper age restriction for applying for CEED. Anyone who has finished a degree, certificate, or postgraduate degree programme lasting at least THREE years (beyond the 10+2 level) is eligible to apply for CEED.

How do I pay the application fee of CEED?

Since the application process of CEED will be done online, the payment of application fee will also be done through an online payment gateway. You can use net banking, debit card, credit card, etc. for paying the fee.

How can I complete the application process of CEED?

In order to complete the application process of CEED, you will have to visit the official website of the exam and apply online. You will be required to register by entering your contact information and then you can fill the form.

Can I apply for CEED offline?

No, you cannot apply for CEED in person or offline. The CEED application process is entirely online. You may apply for the test via the Symbiosis Institute of Design's (SID) official website. The CEED 2024 application link will be launched in the last week of September 2023. The application period will be open through the third week of October 2023.
