WBJEE 2022 Cutoff

The WBJEE Board, the organising body of the examination, will declare the WBJEE 2022 cut-off for each program after the declaration of the results. The closing ranks are treated as the cutoff of WBJEE 2022 for different participating colleges. The minimum marks that a candidate needs to score in WBJEE 2022 to be eligible for admission to B.E./B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Pharma is called cut-off mark. The examination is conducted for admissions into technical programs in the state of West Bengal.

Candidates who score marks equal and above the WBJEE 2022 cut-off will be called to participate in WBJEE 2022 Counselling.

Each participating college of WBJEE will release separate cut-off lists for different courses. The WBJEE cut-off 2022 will be released in the form of branch-wise and institution-wise. How WBJEE Cut off Score Calculated?

WBJEE 2022 cut-off will be determined in two steps i.e calculation of scores and publication of merit lists.

Calculation of scores:

The calculation of scores varies for each category as given in WBJEE 2022 Marking Scheme. WBJEE covers Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with three categories of questions from each subject.

Publication of Merit Lists:

• After calculating the scores, the GMR (short for General Merit Rank)and PMR (short for Pharmacy Merit Rank)is prepared on the basis of which the admission cut-off is determined.

• The list of GMR is prepared based on the total score obtained in paper 1 and paper 2 while the list of PMR is prepared based on the total score obtained in paper 2.

• GMR is applicable for admission to all Engineering / Technology / Architecture Courses and to the Pharmacy Course in Jadavpur University while PMR is applicable for admission to all Pharmacy Courses except in Jadavpur University.

• The ranking is done in the descending order of total marks scored in all the subjects and the tie-breaking rules are applied if scores of two or more candidates are the same.

• WBJEE counselling and admission is done on the basis of GMR and PMR only.

WBJEE Result 2022

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has RELEASED the WBJEE 2022 result on June 17, 2022, in online mode on its official website wbjeeb.nic.in. Candidates should note that the WBJEEB will release the WBJEE Result 2022 in the form of a rank card. Candidates can check the result of WBJEE 2022 by entering details like the WBJEE application number or roll number, along with the Date of Birth.

WBJEE Counselling 2022

Candidates shortlisted on the basis of WBJEE cutoff 2022 will be called to participate in the counselling process. Eligible candidates are required to register in order to participate in the process which will be followed by filling up a counselling form, uploading documents, filling and locking choices and seat allotment. The authorities will conduct separate WBJEE counselling 2022 for candidates applying on the basis of JEE Main scores.
