Every question is followed by 4 alternative options as answers, and candidates need to choose the correct one.
The nature and pattern of questions are similar to other state and national-level exams:
For B.Tech Programme: The examination pattern is similar to that of JEE Mains. There will be 3 sections comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
For B.Tech Lateral Entry Programme: The examination pattern is similar to that of WB JELET.
For the BCA/BBA Programme: The examination pattern includes English, General Knowledge, and Preliminary Mathematics.
For M.Tech Programme: The exam pattern is similar to that of the GATE exam.
For MCA/M.Sc Programme: The exam pattern is similar to that of the WB JECA examination.
For the MBA Programme: The exam pattern is on the same lines as the CAT exam examination.
