CLAT 2026 results are declared on December 16, 2025. All those who appeared for CLAT 2026 exam will be able to check their CLAT result 2026 online by logging into their portals by entering the application number and dob. The results of CLAT 2026 will contain important information like Name of the candidate, fathers's name, roll number, application number, category of the candidate, sectional scores, overall score, all India rank and category rank.
In CLAT 2026 exam more than 92,000 candidates had registered for the exam of whom 88,657 appeared for the examination, reflecting an attendance rate of about 96 per cent. Of the total candidates who appeared, 75,009 took the undergraduate test, while 17,335 appeared for the postgraduate examination. After the declaration of the CLAT results 2026, the CNLUs will open registration for CLAT 2026 counselling. Qualified students will be required to register online, indicate their preferences for National Law Universities and programmes, and participate in multiple rounds of seat allotment.

Step 1:Marks Calculation: The conducting body keeps in mind the marking scheme and sticks to it while preparing the final score of a candidate. Given below is the marking scheme for UG as well as PG courses.
For Undergraduate Courses: The total number of questions will be 150. 1 mark will be awarded for every correct answer while 0.25 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer. Unattempted answers will not have any deduction.
For Postgraduate Courses: Maximum number of questions will be 120 where 1 mark will be added for each question answered correctly. 0.25 marks will be reduced for every incorrect attempt while no marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.
Step 2: Preparation of CLAT Merit List: Different merit lists will be released by participating colleges separately. Candidates will be offered rank as per the marks secured in the CLAT 2026. The merit list will also include other vital information like name, rank, admit card number. It will also display the name of the provisional university allotted by the college.
