Aspirants who are planning to take the IBPS Clerk 2020 examination must most importantly check the application procedure required for the examination. IBPS Clerk application form 2020 was released by IBPS on its official website https://ibps.in/  in the month of September. However, the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has closed the filling of IBPS Clerk application form in October 2020.

Candidates must note that the process of registration is done through online medium following the guidelines characterized by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS). The application process will require candidates to submit their personal, professional and educational details along with the valid certificates authenticating the details. Pre-requisites for Applying for IBPS Clerk Exam

Candidates will have to apply on the official website of IBPS through the available online application form. Before that candidates must prepare the following documents and then sit to apply for IBPS Clerk 2020.

  • Scanned photograph/image and signature as per the prescribed dimension and size.
  • Scanned image of the Left-Hand Thumb Impression as per the prescribed details.
  • A scanned handwritten Letter of Declaration. 
  • Keep all the mark sheets handy.
  • Ready your card (Debit/Credit) details in order to make online payment of the requisite application fee/ intimation charges.
  • A valid Email ID to initiate and establish communication regarding the test.
  • A valid and active mobile number for the purpose of communication.

Guidelines for Applying Online for IBPS Clerk 2020 Exam

Candidate Registration:

  • Log in to the official website of IBPS.
  • Click on the given link ‘IBPS Clerk Application Form ’
  • Candidates will be re-directed to the registration page. On the registration page, candidates need to select ‘Click here for New Registration’ tab.
  • A page containing the guidelines for the application form will be displayed on your system screen.
  • Candidates should read the details before applying for the examination.

Filling up of basic information:

  • After reading the instructions carefully, candidates should click on the ‘next’ tab.
  • Candidates will have to register with their name, mobile no, email ID, security code.
  • After that, candidates will have to fill their educational details, nationality, state, domicile, category, etc.
  • On successful registration, candidates will be issued a registration number and password.
  • An intimation regarding the same will also be sent to candidates' registered email address and mobile number.

Uploading of scanned photograph and signature:

  • Candidates will have to upload their photograph and signature as per the given size and format.
  • There will be two separate links for uploading Photograph and Signature.
  • Click on the respective links for uploading the Photograph / Signature.
  • After that, browse and select the location where the Scanned Photograph / Signature file is saved.
  • Select the file by clicking on it.
  • Click the option ‘Open/Upload’ button.

  • INR. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD/EXSM candidates.
  • INR. 600 /- for all others.

Payment Option:

  • The payment can be made by using debit card/ credit card/ Internet Banking by providing information as asked on the screen.

Note: Bank Transaction charges for Online Payment of application fees/ intimation charges will have to be borne by the candidate.

Submit Application Form:

  • Candidates will need to take a printout of the e-receipt and online application form.
  • The print out of the application form and e-receipt should be kept safe by the candidates.
  • Candidates should note down the registration number and password for downloading the admit card.

Important Pointers for IBPS Clerk 2020 Registration

  • It is important for IBPS Clerk aspirants to note that the scanned signature must not be signed in Capital Letters. Such a signature shall not be accepted by the concerned authorities.

  • The letter of Declaration must be – “I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”

  • The language of the Declaration must specifically be in English and similar to the matter written above on a white sheet/paper with black or blue ink.

  • The image of the Thumb Impression, Photograph and Signature must be clear, as a blurred image shall be subject to rejection from the exam conducting authority.

  • The Photograph must be a coloured image and a recent one.

  • No selfies of the applicant shall be entertained and accepted by the exam conducting authority.

  • The Thumb Impression must specifically be of the left-hand if any candidate does not have left-hand thumb then such candidate can use the impression of the right-hand thumb. If both the thumbs of both hands are missing then the candidate can use the impression of the fingers starting from the forefinger of the right hand. In case of no fingers on the left hand, the impression of the finger starting from the forefinger can be used. If no fingers are available, the impression of the left toe may be taken.

  • It is important for candidates to specify the thumb impression if it is not of the left hand of the candidate.

  • It is important for aspirants to know that no changes shall be initiated once the application form is submitted as there is no window for IBPS Clerk application form correction.

  • An easy way to avoid mistake and submit incorrect information is to preview the form before clicking on the next button.

  • Taking the printout of the Confirmation Page is very important for the applicants as it is a vital document that must retain until the Selection Process of IBPS Clerk gets over.
