The AIEED 2020 follows an exam pattern which not every exam has so the candidates must know the exam pattern carefully so that they are able to attend the paper in the least time. This exam is conducted in three stages to filter the most number of candidates and choose the absolutely best ones. Candidates will have to qualify in stage one in order to appear for stage two of the examination. The candidates who would be able to qualify both stage 1 and stage 2 would be able to appear for stage 3. The first two stages of the AIEED 2020 is conducted online and stage 3 is offline based.
In stage three the candidates must know that this stage is offline so the applicants will have to be present in the allocated institution and take the exam in person.
The AIEED 2020 exam is conducted for both Post Graduate and Undergraduate courses. This exam is conducted in three stages which includes GAT, CAT and interaction. The three stages of the examination have been explained here in the exact format that would be given in the exam pattern. Let us have a look at the exam pattern very quickly,
General Aptitude Test: This the first stage for the AIEED exam which all the candidates will have to go through and if they qualify the first stage then only they can appear for the second stage. This exam is conducted online in three slots with a duration of 120 mins. There are three-time slots for this examination and candidates can choose any one of them such as,
10 am - 12 noon
1 pm - 3 pm
4 pm - 6 pm
Creative Aptitude Test: This is the second stage of the AIEED 2020 which is conducted for the applicants who successfully clear the first stage. This exam is usually conducted within 3 days of the GAT or after three days from the date of GAT being held. The CAT exam is conducted in online mode within a given duration of 3 hours. There are three-time slots for CAT and the applicants must choose one of them, such as:
10 am - 1 pm
1 pm - 3 pm
4 pm - 6 pm
Interaction: The candidates who are able to qualify both the level of examination would reach the final round. The final round is called interaction which means the candidates have to introduce themselves and present their video, portfolio and skype interaction
GAT or the General Aptitude Test is judged on certain parameters which the candidates must know. The parameters are as follows such as design sensibilities, design-related awareness, logical reasoning, awareness on global issues and concepts.
Total number of Questions: There will be 60 questions in the GAT paper
Total Marks: There will be 100 marks allotted to all 60 questions.
Total Time: The applicants will be given 2 hours to complete a 100 marks paper with 60 questions.
The Creative Aptitude Test or CAT has judged basis some parameters like Articulation skills such as written skill or visual skills, lateral thing and design thinking, creative problem solving and design awareness.
Total number of Questions: There will be 50 questions in the GAT paper
Total Marks: There will be 200 marks allotted to all 50 questions.
Total Time: The applicants will be given 3 hours to complete a 200 marks paper with 50 questions.
Interaction: Candidates must be aware of the composure, focus and clarity, general articulation skills, depth of thinking, range of work in the portfolio.
Total Marks: The candidates must know that this section carries 200 marks
Total Time: This exam is conducted offline and this is mostly a verbal examination so this exam is conducted in 30 min.
