Dear Student, I am an admission consultant, and many of my students are perusing Law, considering they have not applied for CLAT or ahave not appeared for the same. There are lot of other universities and colleges, which have their own entrance exam for admission. One of them is Lovely Professional University. This year, an initiative done by LPU is that they have relived entrance exam in few of the courses. One of such course is B.A. -LLB (Hons.) During this period of ongoing COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, to support prospective students (candidates) to apply for admissions , direct online/remote admissions (subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria) process has been started. Eligibility of the course is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (any stream) with English or equivalent. Last date to apply for admission is 30th April . For more details you can visit the website and contact LPU counselors . www.lpu.in

Dear Satyam, CLAT is a combined entrance examination for National Law Schools. However, there are other good law colleges and Universities which have their separate entrance exam like IILM University - Gurugram . For more details you can visit their website : https://iilm.edu.in/law-admissions/

Dear Student,

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is the entrance exam basically conducted for admission National Law Universities (NLUs) in India.

While CLAT scores are also accepted for admission by many other law colleges in India, it is not necessary to appear for CLAT for BA LLB admissions.

There are many colleges and universities that either conduct their own law entrance exams or accept admissions to BA LLB programme on the basis of class 12th merit. Here is a list of top law colleges in India. You may have to check the requirement for individual universities to find out the entry requirements for LLB admissions. However, we are including below some of the law colleges that accept admissions without CLAT.

You may also fill our Common Application Form or contact the CollegeDekho student helpline at 1800-572-9877 for admissions-related assistance.

Thank you.
