MCAER PGCET exam is administered by the Maharashtra Agricultural Universities Examination Board (MAUEB) and is held every year to provide PG-level admission to Master of Technology (MTech Course), Master of Science (MSc Course), and Master of Fisheries Science (MFSc) programmes offered by Maharashtra's State Agricultural Universities.

According to the official schedule, MCAER PGCET 2024 is scheduled to be conducted from May 31 - June 02, 2024 as per revised dates. The MCAER PGCET 2024 entrance exam is a State-level exam that is administered on paper/offline. Every year, approximately 10,000 candidates sit for the MCAER PGCET 2024 exam. Previously, MCAER PGCET was held to offer admission to UG-level professional degree courses in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Bachelor of Fisheries Science, BTech Agricultural Engineering, BTech Food Technology, BSc Hons in Community Science, and Biotechnology Engineering. Admission to the aforementioned courses is now granted based on an aspirant's performance in entrance exams such as JEE/ MHT CET/ ICAR AIEEA/ NEET.

• BTech (Agri.Engg.) candidates are also eligible for admission to “Agril. Meteorology” subject only with CET- Subject: Agriculture.
• BSc (Hons) Home Science/ BSc (Hons) Community Science candidates are also eligible for admission to “Agricultural Extension and Communication” subject only with CET- Subject: Agriculture.
• BSc (Animal Husbandry) candidates are also eligible for admission to “Animal Husbandry” subject but only with CET- Subject: Agriculture.
• The students possessing these UG degrees will have to complete deficiency courses if any as suggested by SAC.
• Other State graduate candidates must have a degree from ICAR-accredited Agriculture University,  if applicable.
• It is compulsory that all the degrees mentioned in the above eligibility list should have been only awarded by Agricultural Universities.
• All the Master’s degree programmes have a minimum duration of two years (i.e. 4 semesters).

MCAER PGCET 2024 result will be announced on June 20, 2024 on the official website only, no emails, posts or couriers will be sent to the address of the aspirants. The exam authorities will release the MCAER PG CET 2024 results in the form of a merit list and a scorecard. Candidates can access the scorecard by logging into the official website with their registration information. The candidates must keep their scorecards until the admission process is completed.
