NATA paper will have two parts: PART A will be of Drawing and Composition test and PART B will include Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). The Council of Architecture conducts the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), a national-level entrance exam for the purpose of granting admission to deserving candidates into the 5-year B.Arch degree course offered by various renowned Institutions across the country. The decision to conduct NATA, a separate national-level architecture entrance test, came into effect in the year 2005 when the Supreme Court of India delivered its final verdict regarding the same. Through NATA, the aspirants can only apply for the vacant Architecture seats in the top Architecture colleges in India but the actual admission will be granted to the eligible candidates by the respective colleges and their designated authorities.

COA has revised the NATA 2024 syllabus for the academic year 2024-25. The NATA Syllabus 2024 is divided into two parts. The first part of the NATA 2024 exam syllabus is the Drawing and Composition Test which includes 3 sections namely Composition and Color, Sketching & Composition (Black and White), and 3D Composition. The Second part will consist of MCQ questions from Visual Reasoning, Logical Derivation, G.K., Architecture and Design, Language Interpretation, Design Sensitivity, Design Thinking, and Numerical Ability.
In the NATA 2024 exam questions will be asked from topics like mathematics, physics, geometry, language and interpretation, elements and principles of design, aesthetic sensitivity, colour theory, lateral thinking and logical reasoning, visual perception, and cognition, graphics, and imagery, building anatomy and architectural vocabulary, basic techniques of building construction and material knowledge, general knowledge and current affairs etc.
