Is Physics and Chemistry Still a Part of the NATA Syllabus?

Is Physics and Chemistry Still Part of NATA Syllabus 2023 - As we all are aware that CoA will conduct NATA 2023 in three phases this year. Candidates who are planning to appear in this exam might get confused with respect to what all is included in the NATA syllabus 2023 as no specific mention about the same has been given by CoA in the brochure. Ambiguous NATA 2023 syllabus might restrain candidates from making a strategic and effective preparation plan.

Hence in this article, CollegeDekho aims to answer what all is included in NATA syllabus, is Physics and Chemistry still part of NATA syllabus 2023, key parameters on which candidates will be assessed and related details.

Section Wise NATA Syllabus 2023

It is imperative to put the best step forward for candidates who wish to secure good scores in NATA and crack the national level test in one go. Is Physics and Chemistry still part of NATA syllabus 2023 is a question that most candidates find difficult to answer. As per NATA 2023 official brochure, CoA has not specifically divided NATA syllabus 2023 in sections, however, it has highlighted key areas on the basis of which candidates aptitude will be assessed.

Some or all of the following techniques will be used by CoA in NATA exam 2023 and can be considered to be a part of NATA syllabus 2023 -

Is Physics and Chemistry Still Part of NATA Syllabus 2023?

From the above discussion, we can conclude that the NATA is an Aptitude test that assesses the innate ability of a candidate which can’t be taught, learnt or induced in anyone. NATA 2023 question paper may have a few questions from Physics as specified in the brochure and however there will be no questions from Chemistry.

Why has NATA Syllabus been Revised?

For the Academic year 2022-2023, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) issued a handbook stating, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are now no longer mandatory to study for students seeking admission in Architecture Courses at the undergraduate level. Keeping in view this aspect, CoA has completely removed Chemistry from the syllabus of NATA. However, in the NATA Information Brochure 2023, CoA has mentioned it clearly that questions could be asked in various topics that assess candidates on basic concepts in Mathematics, Physics and few other areas.

How has NATA Syllabus Changed over the Years?

As mentioned, back in 2020, candidates taking the NATA exam had to study Chemistry as part of the NATA syllabus. But, in 2021, CoA completely removed the Chemistry section from the NATA syllabus along with other changes related to type of questions, medium of language etc. let us quickly look at the NATA syllabus coverage journey over the years.
