Before applying for NIMCET 2018, candidates must check the eligibility criteria of NIMCET 2018. The NIMCET 2018 eligibility criteria mentions the educational qualifications, age limit, and minimum marks/percentage that a candidate must score to be eligible to sit for the entrance exam. Candidates seeking admission in MCA courses have to fulfill the specified NIMCET 2018 eligibility criteria. Candidates not meeting the NIMCET 2018 eligibility criteria will not be allowed to appear for the entrance exam.
The detailed eligibility criteria of NIMCET 2018 is mentioned below:
The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
To appear in the entrance exam, there is no age limit.
The candidate should have cleared B.Sc./B.Sc.(Hons.)/BCA/BIT under 10+2+3 pattern with Mathematics/Statistics as a subject or equivalent from a recognised University.
The candidate having a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Bachelor of Technology degree or equivalent from a recognised University can also apply for the entrance exam.
General and OBC candidates should have scored at least 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA score in aggregate in all the subjects.
Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) category candidates are required to score at least 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale in aggregate in all the subjects.
