Students preparing for IIT JAM 2026 which is scheduled to be conducted on 15 February, 2026 must be well aware of the seat matrix of colleges accepting IIT JAM 2026 scores. IIT JAM 2026 participating institutes will specify the seats of IIT JAM 2026. In each course, there are a certain number of seats that are reserved for different categories of candidates. The seat matrix of IIT JAM 2026 refers to the number of vacant seats which will be made available category-wise to the candidates who will be seeking admission in different IITs and IISc, Bangalore.
It must be noted by the students that IIT JAM 2026 seats will be made available to the candidates who belong to reserved categories i.e. SC/ST/PWD/OBC and for the unreserved categories (General). Additionally, the candidates belonging to the different categories other than the General category will be provided seats in IIT JAM 2026 only if they provide the caste certificates along with the other requisite documents.
