IIT JAM Participating Institutes 2024

IIT JAM 2024 participating institutes have been released by IIT Madras.The IIT JAM 2024 official notification states that 21 IITs will be participating in the exam and will accept the results for postgraduate programme admission. 2024 IIT Bhilai, Bhubaneswar, Bombay, Delhi, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jammu, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Mandi, Palakkad, Patna, Roorkee, Ropar, Tirupati, and IIT (BHU) Varanasi are the participating institutes of IIT JAM. IISc Bengallur and CCMN (NITs, IIEST Shibpur, SLIET, and DIAT) are the result-sharing institutes of IIT JAM 2024.

IIT JAM counselling 2024 is starting from April 10, 2024. IIT Madras conducted IIT JAM 2024 exam on February 11, 2024, with the IIT JAM 2024 result announced on March 22, 2024. Candidates who are planning to take the IIT JAM 2024 exam must be aware of the list of colleges accepting IIT JAM 2024 scores. Candidates who qualify the IIT JAM 2024 paper can apply in the IIT JAM 2024 participating institutes. JAM 2024 score is accepted by these IIT JAM 2024 participating colleges to provide MSc admission. There are around 3000 seats for the MSc programme at 21 IITs for the academic year 2024-25 available for the candidates. However, other than IITs there are around 30 more colleges in India such as NITs, CFTIs, IISER, etc that are IIT JAM participating institutes 2024 via CCMN 2024. 

To become eligible for admission in any of the IIT JAM participating institutes 2024, candidates will be required to qualify the IIT JAM examination. A total of 21 IITs, 1 IISC and 17 CFTIs (15 NITs, IIEST Shibpur and SLIET Punjab) colleges accepting IIT JAM 2024 scores for M.Sc admissions. After the announcement of the IIT JAM  Result and IIT JAM cutoff 2024 list, separate counselling is conducted for IIT JAM 2024 participating institutes. However, for admission in CFTIs – NITs, IISERs, IIEST Shibpur and SLIET Punjab, centralised counselling is held for M.Sc/ M.Sc (Tech) Admissions (CCMN).

IIT JAM Participating Institutes 2024: Seat Matrix

Candidates preparing for IIT JAM 2024 which is scheduled to be conducted on 11 February 2024 must be well aware of the seat matrix of colleges accepting IIT JAM 2024 scores. The IIT JAM 2024 participating institutes will specify the seats of IIT JAM 2024. In each course, there are a certain number of seats that are reserved for different categories of candidates. The seat matrix of IIT JAM 2024 refers to the number of vacant seats which will be made available category-wise to the candidates who will be seeking admission in different IITs and IISc, Bangalore.

It must be noted by the candidates that the IIT JAM 2024 seats will be made available to the candidates who belong to reserved categories i.e SC/ST/PWD/OBC and for the unreserved categories (General). Additionally, the candidates belonging to the different categories other than the General category will be provided seats in IIT JAM 2024 only if they provide the caste certificates along with the other requisite documents. On the basis of the cut- off and the counselling procedures conducted by the participating IIT JAMs and IISc, Bangalore, candidates will be offered IIT JAM 2024 seats.
