The LPU is the first private university to get ICAR approval. The LPU agriculture programme is designed with a target of holistic development of students. The ICAR approved programmes include: B Sc (Hons. ). AgricultureM. ScAgriculture {Horticulture (Fruit Science) M. ScAgriculture (Agronomy) M. ScAgriculture (Genetics and Plant Breeding)The minimum age required for enrolling in the programme is 16yrs. Students may be given an option to go for a 4 weeks study tour to USA/ European countries or any other country as decided by the University subject to conditions. There is also an option to join a partner university abroad for a semester. Students are engaged towards evergreen agriculture, keeping in view the RAWE programme to build interpersonal skills. The students are exposed to Commercial farms to get know-how that creates an opportunity for students to engage and tone up their endurance, confidence and management skills. Emphasis on case studies and inter-personal based teaching to develop skills in analytical thinking and reflective judgment by reading and discussing complex, real-life scenarios is given. This year the maximum salary offered to a student was 19.25 Lacs per annum while average salary was 4.5 Lacs.
