The LPU is the first private university to get ICAR approval. The LPU agriculture programme is designed with a target of holistic development of students. School of Agriculture offers programs with up-to -date curriculum designed to suit the aspirations of agricultural industries as well as major research and development sectors. One can get a job of a Biochemist, Food Scientist, environmental Engineer, Agricultural Lawyer, Agricultural Operations Manager, Animal Geneticist, Agricultural Engineers, Agronomy Sales Manager etc The dedicated faculty of LPU gives the students a hands -on training experience by assigning live projects (Agricultural work) in university agricultural research farms and experiential learning on different agricultural units. It includes disciplines like Agronomy, Horticulture Genetics and Plant Breeding, Soil Science, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Economics, Extension, etc. The major emphasis of the programme is to get the students acquainted with knowledge and hands-on experiences in the above mentioned discipline and apply that knowledge to high value agricultural production in a sustainable manner. The ICAR approved programmes include: B Sc (Hons. ). AgricultureM. ScAgriculture {Horticulture (Fruit Science) M. ScAgriculture (Agronomy) M. ScAgriculture (Genetics and Plant Breeding)The minimum age required for enrolling in the programme is 16yrs. Students may be given an option to go for a 4 weeks study tour to USA/ European countries or any other country as decided by the University subject to conditions. There is also an option to join a partner university abroad for a semester. Students are engaged towards evergreen agriculture, keeping in view the RAWE programme to build interpersonal skills. The students are exposed to Commercial farms to get know-how that creates an opportunity for students to engage and tone up their endurance, confidence and management skills. Emphasis on case studies and inter-personal based teaching to develop skills in analytical thinking and reflective judgment by reading and discussing complex, real-life scenarios is given. This year the maximum salary offered to a student was 19.25 Lacs per annum while average salary was 4.5 Lacs.

Apart from that, other Government Departments that are good are- Food Department, Research Departments, Dairy Boards (State wise), Coir Board etc.
