Dear student,
The general thumb rule is that for every dropped year, anywhere between 2.5% - 5% marks is deducted, if a candidate is looking for fresh admissions through regular mode. Since you are looking at admissions 3 years after you passed out Class 12 Board exams (2015, 2016, 2017), chances are that upto 15% from your top score will be deducted.
So, say you scored 90% in Class 12 in 2014, then by the time you apply in 2018, your percentage that will be taken into accunt will be 75% (15% deducted). If with 75% you get admission in a college, then take admission. Good luck!
NOTE* - The percentage mentioned above are approximate figures only. Please check with the college once before applying.
