Hello Nidhi,
If we talk about the eligibility criteria then that varies from college to college. Since biotechnology is an engineering field, most of the colleges have made it compulsory for students to study maths along with physics, chemistry and biology in order to be eligible for the course. However, there are colleges that selects students from the PCB background as well.
In order to take admission, you must have a minimum aggregate of 60% in class 12th board to take admission in biotechnology course offered by a good government college. Studying maths is also important because during the first year of the course you will have to study mathematics as part of the curriculum.
