Expanding the literary repertoire through exposure to different genres of English Literature ranging from Classics and British Literature to World Literature. The programme will orient students to critically evaluate renowned authors and their works, and in the process foster their critical faculties for analytical reading and creative writing. M.A. (English), Duration : 2 yrs. (4 Semesters) Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam) Pass with 50% aggregate marks in Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) or equivalent. (5% relaxation to North-East states and Sikkim candidates or Defence Personnel and their Dependents or Wards of Kashmiri Migrants) (10% relaxation to outstanding Sports Persons (i.e. A or A+ category as per Sports Scholarship), Subject to verification from Selection committee* of the University) Note:-In case the applicant falls in both categories, then only one relaxation in eligibility will be given. * Selection committee will be comprising of Head (DSW), Director Sports, Dy. Director Sports, Concerned Coach and VC Nominee. Admission Criteria Merit in qualifying examination. Important Dates Online Registration Starts on 1st February 2023 Last Date of Admission 30th April 2023 Schedule of LPUNEST (For Scholarship) Date for submission of LPUNEST Application 31st March 2023* Slot Booking for online examination 15th March 2023 onwards Date of Examination # 5th April to 30th April 2023 Display of Result Within 48 working hours

However, LPU provides very good scholarships to bright students based on good academic records, sports, or extracurricular activities achievement, etc. I recommend you visit the LPU website for more details of scholarships.
