Dear student,
In order to pursue Bachelor's in Veterinary Science (B. V. Sc) or Bachelor's in Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (B. V. Sc AH), you will need to have studied Physics, Chemistry & Biology at Class 12 level. Post that, you will need to appear for the All India Pre Veterinary Test (AIPVT) or similar exam to enroll in a B. V. Sc or B. V. Sc AH course.
Eligibility Criteria for AIPVT:
So, with a 62% you are eligible for the course in Veterinary Science. Hopefully, you would have filled up the application form (which usually comes out in January) and taken the AIPVT 2017 entrance exam (which is conducted in May). If not, then we suggest that you take admission in B. Sc (General) or B. Sc in Biology, B. Sc in Botany, B. Sc in Zoology etc. You can try again next year.
If you are not willing to wait that long, then probably taking up a course with your Science backgorund other than Engineering and Medicine that interests you is a good option. B. Sc in Biotechnology, B. Sc in Enviornmental Science, B. Sc in Dairy Technology etc. are good options as well.
If you are open to moving out of the stream, then you can pursue various other courses as well like paramedical, law, psychology, designing courses, fashion technology, hotel management etc. If Maths is your strong suit, then B. Sc in Mathematics, B. Sc in Statistics, Chartered Accountancy, CPT, CS etc are good options as well.
