qualification for law : is there any exam for admission of law..and what is the minimum percentage in graduation

The Law Department at LPU is one of the first departments that came up when LPU was taking its shape. According to the NIRF ranking, the Law School is ranked 24th. The vision of the school is studying by books is not a rule of Law. The course aims at preparing the students with an interest to pursue legal education with social sciences to benefit society. Creation of well-trained and dedicated professionals in the legal framework. It also aims at nurturing a graduate with in-depth knowledge of different aspects of laws comprising civil, criminal, taxation, and international laws and ensuring conceptual clarity for judicial services aspirants. Law students are prepared to spot legal issues from a set of hypothetical facts and brainstorm various legal consequences, to be perfect legal professionals. The courses are approved by the Bar Council of India. The Career guidance magazine Higher Education Review has recognized Law School at Lovely Professional University among the top-ten most promising institutions of India for its capability of producing next-gen legal professionals. The eligibility criteria for the course is 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English or equivalent. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. For SC ST applicants there is 5 percent relaxation while there is 3 percent relaxation for the OBC candidates. In addition to it, for North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants,) there is 5 percent relaxation. The LPU students were invited by Punjab Police for an internship where they were taught the nuances of investigation. The university has an MOU with NLSIU Bangalore for various academic programs. The highest salary last year was 6.2 LPA and 5.1 LPA was the average salary.

In the situation of Covid-19, LPU has relaxed their eligibility norms. Because of which lpunest is not compulsory for all the programmes. LPU offers more than 250 programmes where Law is one among them. The School of Law is governed and regulated by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and its curriculum is also provided by BCI and in order to make students top-to-date and latest trends in the field of law, the School of Law takes initiatives to modify the curriculum as and when need arises. Students have undergone internships at various High Courts, law firms, law chambers, commissions, corporate houses and NGOs. The Alumni's are working as Judicial officers, Legal practitioners and Corporate advisors and Civil servants. In addition to this, MOOT court sessions are also provided to experience the scenario of courts. Some of the companies which have made or shown interest in recruitment from our campus are: MAP Legal Corporation, Manupatra & Co, Integrity Associates, LEGASIS , Thomson Reuters have recruited the students and many more at the annual package of Rs. 300000 per annum and above. Dear Student, Admission is open in many of the universities through online mode. Lovely Professional University is of them which has opened the doors of admission for the prospective candidates online. Admission in Law is open these days and eligibility for Graduation courses such as BA-LLB(Hons.) at LPU is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English) or equivalent. There is no entrance exam . You can get direct admission , subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria. Fee per semester is 98000 INR. Further for LLM there is an entrance exam to be qualified. Dear Student, Most of the national law universities the admission to the same is subject to conditions on the scores of entrance exams like CLAT, AILET and LAWCET. LLB can be done in 2 ways ; 5 years integrated course which includes dual degree like B.A.LL.B, B.B.A-LL.B. (only 5 year) 3 year LLB which can be done after completing your graduation in any stream .
