CLAT Cut Off for NLUs - Predicting the college

The CLAT seat allotment process is based on the candidates' rank. Candidates are sent counselling invitation letters in the order in which they appear on the merit list. So, if a candidate knows his or her probable rank, he or she will have a better idea of the NLUs that will be assigned. Candidates can learn what rank they can get at a specific NLU by analysing previous years' CLAT cut offs. However, some of the factors determining the CLAT cut off are listed below.

  • Approximately 60,000 people took the exam last year.
  • The level of difficulty of the question paper was hard to moderate.
  • Sanctioned seats in the NLUs - CLAT UG has 2596 seats and CLAT PG has 783 seats.
  • Many national law schools offer both domicile and national category-based reservations.
  • Candidates who fall under the said category may benefit from the domicile reservation.
