CU-LLM 2017 - Application Steps

Create Login ID
  • Application Forms can be downloaded from the official website of University of Calcutta.
  • Fields have to fill : Name, Date of Birth, Email, Category, Whether Wards of Police, Details of the Police personnel/Ex-Police Personnel, 8 to 15 character pass word, confirm password and enter verification code, continue.
Fill up the Application form
  • Personal Information:
    • Field have to fill : Mother’s name, Father’s Name/Guardian’s name, Gender, Marital status, Religion, Blood Group, Nationality, Whether Physically Disabled, Family income, Present Address, Permanent Address, Mobile No.
  • Academic Information:  
    • Field have to fill: 10 th & 10+2 Level and Graduation level : School name, subject taken, year of passing,division, Name of the Board.
    • Statement of Marks obtained at the 10+2 Level and Graduation level (Field have to fill : Year of passing, Roll No, 5 subject with corresponding full marks and marks obtained and Grade/Division.
Uploading Photograph and Signature
  • Upload the Photographs in the space provided for it.
  • Upload scanned ‘Signature’ in the required format.
  • Photo (jpg/jpeg 50 kb) & Signature ((jpg/jpeg 20 kb).
Payment of Fees
  • The application fee is Application Fees:
    • GEN: Rs. 400/-
    • SC/ST/OBC/PWD: Rs. 200/-
  • Payment of Fees for the downloaded Admission Form will be submitted only in the University Cash Counter (Hazra Campus) through University Cash Challan.
Printout of Application Form
  • Take a printout of application form for future use.

Eligibility for CU-LLM 2017

Admission to LL.M. course shall be open to applicants who have passed their B.A.LL.B (Hons.) / B.A.LL.B / LL.B (Hons.)/ LL.B. examination from this university or from other university recognized by the University of Calcutta.

CU-LLM 2017 Important Instructions

  • It is suggested to candidates to carry recent testimonials, scanned photograph & signature with him/her while applying online, so that right information may be entered. The applicants are advised to fill information carefully because after successful registration and application form final submission the editing regarding Cast Category/College preference etc. is not permissible.
  • Applicants are advised to keep their Application Form Number and Password in own custody. Also advised the Admit Card of the Entrance Test to keep in safe custody.
  • Applicants are advised to take a print after successful Admission form submission and make it ready as and when required by the University /College authority.
  • Centre for Entrance Test: In Kolkata only will be specified in the Admit Card.
  • There is no negative marking and no cutoff marks for the Entrance Test.
  • Institution wise Selection List will be published considering the merit of the entrance test and college preference given at the time of application form submission.
  • Entrance Test Merit List and Institution wise selection list will be published at calcutta univercity.
  • Individual Institution website address given only for more information regarding institution concerned.

CU-LLM 2017 Relaxation Policy

  • Fifty percent (50%) of the total number of seats in the 1st Year shall be reserved for B.A.LL.B (Hons.) candidates of this university, for the remaining seats Entrance Test will be conducted.
