LPU is a very good private university for the BTech in Information Technology. My friend also did BTech in IT from LPU and now he is pursuing MBA in Information Technology from LPU itself. The fee of LPU BTECH IT is Rs 1,20,000 per semester. BTech Information Technology is the study of computer-based systems and deals with both hardware as well as software components of a computer system. Let me share a few details of the BTech in IT programme at LPU with you; Good Placement: LPU has a good placement record for CSE students. Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. in which they are placed. The maximum package availed for IT is 42 lacs. per annum by Microsoft. LPU has a very good placement and achieved awards for employability also. The main thing for placement that I liked there is that LPU provides placement classes to the students from the first year, which helps students prepare for placement until their final year of the program. Scholarships: LPU provides scholarships to bright students every year worth crore rupees to all the students based on their academics, extracurricular activities, and other factors. Faculty: All faculty members are well qualified from IITs, NITs, IIMs, and top-ranked universities all over the world. Tie-ups: B.Tech in CSE has tie-ups with industries that help students to explore themselves more in their field such as IBM, Intel, Xebia, Upgrad, etc. Specializations: CSE students get many specializations while studying CSE to enhance their knowledge according to their interests such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Data Science, etc. Apart from this, many opportunities and scholarships are there in LPU while studying for bright students in academics and extracurricular activities.

This programme produces graduates with broad understanding of Information Technology through robust curriculum and hands-on learning in niche technologies to develop competence which caters to the requirements of the industry. It primarily deals using, maintaining and improving computer systems with strong focus on courses related to technologies to solve business processes. To enable the students to keep pace with changing technological advances, the university has industrial tie-ups with various industries. Studying these courses as a part of the curriculum would provide a WILD CARD entry to industry. A set of 4 to 6 elective courses in engineering to enhance competency in the technical and/or emerging domain. (e.g for electronic and electrical- students taking courses in automobile/ robotics/ cybersecurity to build competency in this area.) Industry certifications, MOOCs, Hackathons / Co-curricular Competitive events, Workshops, Guest lectures, Educational Trips, Live projects, Incubation projects, Community projects, projects with NGOs, etc. are an integral part of the curriculum. The highest salary offered to LPU students was 40 lpa and 5.7 lpa was the average salary.
