This is Entrance cum scholarship test for the subject B.Sc. Hons. Agriculture. Students need to register themselves in the online portal of LPU (https://admission.lpu.in/) & then apply online for the LPUNEST examination. Dear Candidate, LPU is first Private University in INDIA who has ICAR accreditation for offering Agriculture programs. This year, . I heard they have relaxed their eligibility criteria’s for Under Graduate Agriculture coursed aiming to facilitate the candidates against COVID_19 pandemic. Thus, this year do not need to take LPUNEST for Agriculture, though, you can take LPUNEST to avail or to increase the scholarship amount. so, the Gist is if you or expecting minimum 60% aggregate marks in 12th grade then you can take admission onine through their website www.lpu.in

As per the website of LPU the eligibility for Bsc in Agriculture for this session as mentioned on the website, is to Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate (with English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Forestry) OR 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) OR 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST. So, qualifying the LPUNEST is mandatory. LPUNEST is National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to various programmes in Lovely Professional University. This test forms the basis of Eligibility and Scholarship for most of the programmes and for some of the programmes test is applicable only for scholarship. LPUNEST serves both the purposes. Also, if you have qualified LPUNEST for Eligibility purpose, you can also improve your score for Scholarship purpose as well. For qualifying the LPUNEST for Eligibility purpose, around 40% marks are required but for Scholarship purpose, cut-offs are required to be qualified for LPUNEST. This cut off depends on various parameters like number of students appeared, highest marks in the exam and many more. Also, you will get two attempts to qualify LPUNEST and there is no negative marking in this exam so chances of scoring well are more in this. As per the website, Last Date of submission of Application for LPUNEST - 30th April 2021. LPUNEST will be conducted online only so You can register yourself on the portal at this link - admission.lpu.in . So, apply for it soon. Hope it helps !!

Hi, LPU is the best for Bsc in agriculture as one of my cousins graduated in this course from LPU and I will highlight some of the features. 1. LPU is the first private University to get ICAR accreditation. 2. The faculty is well qualified and most of them are Ph. Ds and provide full support to the students. 3. The best thing is the University does not compromise with the academics as all the lectures are held and if a faculty wants a leave either the makeup lectures are planned or adjustments are provided for that particular slot. 4. In this stream as most of the work is fieldwork, there every student is allocated a separate piece of land to perform their tasks in the supervision of the staff. 5. University provides additional placement oriented classes and students also studied subjects like analytical skills, soft skills, etcetera as part of the curriculum to prepare the students for all types of competitive exams. I would like to name a few companies that visit LPU- Nestle, VLCC Health Care, HDFC, Rallis India, and many other firms. Thanks

I have spent 4 years in lpu for my studies and I have seen that the agriculture department is one of the finest departments. Well-equipped and well grown from the last couple of years. Moreover, LPU is the first private university got ICAR approval. LPU holds a stellar record in placements as big brands like VLCC Healthcare Ltd. , Ankur Seeds, HDFC, Dhanuka Agritech Ltd. , Ebro India Pvt. Ltd. , etc. Have visited for campus recruitment at packages upto 4.5 LPA. In addition to this, students can attain positions as Agriculture Inspectors, Agriculture Officers, POs, Food Quality Inspectors, Agriculture Development Officer, Horticulture Development Officer, Technical Assistants and administrative posts in government and non-government organizations. Over and above, I also came to know that recently, LPU has been ranked in top 80 amongst all private and government institutes by NIRF, MHRD, GOI which shows the quality being delivered at the institute.

Being an alumni of LPU I would rather say that the school of Agriculture in Lovely Professional University is among the best place for pursuing the BSC in agriculture. Eligibility for admission in this course is as follows (a) 10+2 or Intermediate (with English*, Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Forestry) OR (b) 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) OR (c) 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent *Condition of English as a subject may be waived off provided the candidate has studied in English medium.(5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmiri Migrants) Now you would be saying why I am saying like that, actually my cousin has completed his degree from here only. The most significant thing which should be emphasized is that LPU is the first private university which has been approved by ICAR.I along with my cousins had visited the fields, labs. In order to infuse understanding on emerging problems and technologies involved in agriculture field visits are conducted to neighboring farms, orchards and nurseries. Not only subject related education is imparted but also the professional enhancement is added by the university through the different courses like soft skills and communication skills. Major Highlights of the programme that I would be highlighting over here are as follows: a) The course would impart knowledge and understanding of fundamental concepts and techniques of maintaining and enhancing soil fertility, crop production, crop management, crop improvement, biodiversity and sustainability of agriculture worldwide. b) The course would develop the ability to know farming practices and their scope to improve in the rural areas and the environments. c) It would help in applying the knowledge of basic science through Agricultural microbiology, Plant biochemistry and Biotechnology. d) It will focus on application of knowledge of Agri-business management and finance to develop profitable agricultural system. e) 19.25 LPA PLACEMENT OFFERED IN PANDEMIC BY DE SHAW LPU students have got top packages from leading Agriculture companies. Students of School of Agriculture are placed in Dhanuka, HDFC Bank, Reliance retail, Syngenta, Bio SEED Nestle, Smur Agro, VLCC, Virbac, Amazon, Sanra organics and many more. Student of Lovely Professional University, Kavita Faman, a final year student of M.Sc. Agriculture (Agronomy), has bagged a package of Rs 1 crore. The package has been offered by Monsanto, global leaders in agrochemicals and now part of the crop sciences division of the Bayer G are lot of government job available for agricultural graduates in different sectors like FCI ,KVK, CCI ,ATMA, IFFCO ,NABARD ,RBI etc. The following are the key job opportunities in BSc in Agriculture : Job Roles for Agriculture Graduates. UPSC (Indian Forest Service) IFS. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) IBPS Specialists Officer (AO) Food Corporation of India (FCI) Jobs. It believes in building expertise through well planned on-field implementation and testing of basic concepts in production, yield enhancement disease resistant and better shelf life of food and flora. Creating professionals to tackle the dogma from seed to stomach. It runs b.sc. (Hons.) Agriculture Programme ie for 4 years. BSc Agriculture is a 4-year undergraduate degree awarded by Indian Universities for 10+2 students preferably with Science stream. B. Sc. in Agriculture is considered as a professional degree by the Government of India. The course is not so popular among students but the demand for trained professionals in agriculture is very high. Well, the Eligibility for BSc In Agriculture is to get Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate (with English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Forestry) OR 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) OR 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent with LPU NEST.

Being an Education Consultant i want to congratulate you that you inquiring about India first Private University in INDIA who has ICAR accreditation for offering Agriculture programs. This year, . I heard they have relaxed their eligibility criteria’s for Under Graduate Agriculture coursed aiming to facilitate the candidates against COVID_19 pandemic. Thus, this year do not need to take LPUNEST for Agriculture, though, you can take LPUNEST to avail or to increase the scholarship amount. so, the Gist is if you or expecting minimum 60% aggregate marks in 12th grade then you can take admission onine through their website www.lpu.in prior to 30th April for the maximum scholarship benefits.

It is a matter of proud that LPU is the only private university which is ICAR. In order to take admission in your desired programme, you have to be eligible. The eligibility is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate (with English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Forestry) OR 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) OR 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent. LPUNEST is not mandatory but still you can appear for scholarship. Remotely proctored online LPUNEST from home will be conducted. You can continue to take admission and then apply LPUNEST for scholarship. I will advice you to book the seat online at the earliest.
