Agriculture : Can student of commerce apply for agriculture?

In LPU, as per the eligibility criteria of B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture is candidate must be Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate (with English*, Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Forestry) and qualifying LPUNEST exam is mandatory so student from commerce background will not be eligible to take admission in this same programme.

As per the Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam) at LPU for admission in Bsc Agriculture student needs to Qualifying LPUNEST and Pass with 60% aggregate marks in: (a) 10+2 or Intermediate (with English*, Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Forestry) OR (b) 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) OR (c) 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent LPU School of Agriculture is among Punjab and Indias Best Agriculture colleges. LPU Becomes the First Private University to be Granted ICAR Accreditation By the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India. It lays thrust on carrying out research in agricultural and allied fields. The university has well-equipped laboratories, library, lecture rooms and excellent farm facility to conduct agricultural experiments.

At LPU the minimum age required for enrolling in the BSc agriculture program is 16yrs. Merit in qualifying examination LPUNEST, subject to eligibility criteria. Eligibility: To get admission, you should have passed with 60% marks in: (a) 10+2 or Intermediate (with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Maths or Biology or Forestry)+LPUNEST or (b) 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture)+LPUNEST or (c) 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent+LPUNEST.
