Are there Maths questions in the BITS Design Aptitude Test written exam?

Dear Student,

BITS DAT is mainly to test your problem-solving skills, design thinking, and creativity. Although the test is for assessing your aptitude for design areas, it could even have questions probing logical reasoning as well as overall aptitude. These portions might include figure or visual-based puzzles and, now and then, mathematical notions.

For example, you may have questions related to geometric figures, patterns, or spatial reasoning, which involve an elementary grasp of mathematical concepts. Yet, the focus is more on assessing your designing skills and not your higher-order mathematical skills. To prepare accordingly, it is recommended that you study sample papers and get yourself acquainted with the kind of questions asked in the DAT.

In short, though the BITS DAT is not math-heavy, it can contain questions that test basic mathematical reasoning as part of its evaluation of your general aptitude for design studies.
