Assam textile University details

Assam Textile Institute offers various courses in Garmen, Fashion and Textile Technology.

• or Admission in this institute, Interested students may appear for the PAT (Polytechnic Admission Test) which will be conducted by SCTE, Assam generally in the month of June in every year. Forms are available in all nine Polytechnics of Assam. Advertisement for PAT published in leading news paper of Assam in the month of April.
• AGE:
  The upper age limit of the candidate is 20 (twenty) years for Textile Technology and 22 (twenty two) years for Fashion Technology & Garment Technology. The upper age limit is relaxible by 3 (three) years for SC/ST candidates.
• Educational Qualification:
  For admission into Diploma courses the candidate must passed the H.S.L.C. or its equivalent with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subject with 40% marks in Mathematics and Science for general candidates, 35% marks in Mathematics and Science for SC candidates and 33% marks in Mathematics and Science for ST candidates.
• Examination:
  Examination conducted by SCTE in semester system. Semester examinations are held in the month of June and December every year.
• Vacation:
  After completion of semester exam institute closed for 22 days as term end vacation.
• Holiday list
  Holidays are as declared by the Govt. of Assam.
