B Tech Automobile Engineering program at LPU seamlessly articulates the concepts from basic science to technology with relevant practice through lab and projects for building the problem-solving skills, keeping industry requirements in place. Students will develop competence in automobile engineering. The eligibility for the program is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics, and English) or equivalent. The program focuses at : Developing the ability to comprehend the systems in the field of IC Engines, Automobile, Vehicle dynamics, vehicle testing, and Chassis Design. Propose solution built on an understanding of Thermodynamics, Automotive suspension systems, Homologation and Pollution Control, Automotive component Design, Computer-aided vehicle design, and computer-aided manufacturing for the solutions to real-world problems. Demonstrate the ability to propose cost-effective optimized solutions for the automobile sector using simulated environments of Computer-aided Vehicle design, computer-aided manufacturing, and computer-aided engineering. Effectively build and communicate the solutions crafted using learnings from basic automobile engineering, basic sciences, mathematics, and computational skills and tools. Industry certifications, MOOCs, Hackathons / Co-curricular Competitive events, Workshops, Guest lectures, Educational Trips, Live projects, Incubation projects, Community projects, projects with NGOs, etc. are an integral part of the curriculum. The Content delivery is done by industry experts. There are Projects to be made in collaboration with the industry. Apart from the regular curriculum, Engineering Minors are offered to students by LPU which are - HVAC, Materials Treatments & Testing, Robotics & Mechatronics, and Six Sigma The highest salary offered was 31lpa and the average was 4.2 LPA. Rs 48 k internship was the highest internship paid to a student. Moreover, Mechanical engineering students designed a futuristic Formula One Racing Car at SAEINDIA 2017 Noida. Talking about recent placements, the highest package availed is Rs 7.9 LPA for ME from Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India. Rs 7.5 LPA for ME from Wilmar When it comes to Automobile Engineering 95% to 98% of the senior batches have been placed in top-notch companies such as HERO MOTORCYCLES, HYUNDAI, ESCORTS, TAFE and many more.
