LPU is providing BJMC i.e. Bachelors in journalism and mass communication. The department is situated in a secluded lush green corner of the university. The department has a bunch of other courses like MJMC, performing arts, theatre etc. There are studios with all the facilities for the students. They have their own in campus media channel- Y TV, where the students work and have hands on experience of the real life media channel scenario. Apart from this there are many other events like Coke Studio, YouthVibe, etc taking place where the students are made part of it to give them the filed experience. Most of these things are part of their curriculum. Regular educational trips to various newspapers, channels, etc are arranged for students. The students dealing with electronic media are given platform to make and showcase their documentaries on relevant topics. The faculties here in BJMC Lovely Professional University are highly experienced. There are different labs for BJMC department where high-end devices are installed for ultimate learning experience of students.

LPU offers the programme of B.A. (Journalism and Mass Communication) and duration of this course is 3 years including 6 semesters. This programme is designed to expose students to all dimensions of Print, Electronic and New Age Media. Focus on enhancing technical skills of reporting, news design software, video editing, photography etc. which necessary in the field of Journalism and Mass Communication. Student pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English) or equivalent can apply for this programme. There is 5% relaxation for North-East states and Sikkim candidates or Defence Personnel and their Dependents or Wards of Kashmiri Migrants. Programme Fee without scholarship is Rs 120000 without scholarships LPU provides various scholarships candidate can avail the maximum scholarship if eligible for any.

Hi, The registrations for session 2023 has already started at LPU. the eligibility for B.A journalism and Mass Communication is Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English) or equivalent. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North-East states and Sikkim candidates or Defence Personnel and their Dependents or Wards of Kashmiri Migrants) The tuition fee per semester is Rs 120000 and we also offer scholarship on the tuition fee on various categories like performance in LPUNEST exam, percentage in qualifying exam, Innovation, Startup & Entrepreneurship, Sports., Special Scholarship for Toppers of Education Board and financial aid to need based, defence, disability, orphan. This programme is designed to expose students to all dimensions of Print, Electronic and New Age Media. Focus on enhancing technical skills of reporting, news design software, video editing, photography etc. which necessary in the field of Journalism and Mass Communication. Mass Media programmes at Lovely Professional University were started with an intent to foster creativity, technology and research orientation in the field of mass communication. Bachelor of Journalism & Mass Communication (BJMC) is a popular programme that prepares a student for a career in Journalism, Media and PR firms.

Usually a three-year programme, it is open to students who have cleared class 12th in any stream with 50-60% marks (depending on the college of application).
