LPU is well known for its B.Sc(Hons) Agriculture course. LPU is the first private University to get ICAR accreditation. The faculty is well qualified and most of them are Ph. Ds and provide full support to the students. The best thing is the University does not compromise with the academics as all the lectures are held and if a faculty wants a leave either the makeup lectures are planned or adjustments are provided for that particular slot. In this stream as most of the work is fieldwork, there every student is allocated a separate piece of land to perform their tasks in the supervision of the staff. If I talk about placements, University provides separate placement oriented classes, and students also studied subjects like analytical skills, soft skills, etcetera as part of the curriculum to prepare the students. I would like to name a few companies that visit LPU- Nestle, VLCC Health Care, HDFC, Rallis India, and many other firms.

LPU is the only private university which has been accredited by ICAR. It has set certain standards and for this feat it has received many accolades. The experienced faculty along with the high standards maintained for the grooming of students has made it a hub of academic excellence. The sprawling infra structure aids the practical knowledge needed for this field and well equipped labs have been provided to propel the career of students to a zenith. LPU understands the importance of uninterrupted education and so offers scholarships for the sectors, on the marks qualified, national level award, defense, sports, etc. It has also moved forward to aid education at such grim times by offering financial assistance in the form of covid scholarships. Yes, absolutely Candidate can do Graduation and Post-Graduation both in Agriculture in LPU. According to my best knowledge LPU is the first private University to have ICAR accreditation. In LPU there are 8 specializations in Masters of Agriculture; Agronomy, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Soil Science and Agriculture Chemistry, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Horticulture (Fruit Science), Horticulture (Vegetable Science) and Horticulture (Floriculture and Landscaping). LPU offers 4 year graduation program also but student must have minimum 60% aggregate marks in 12th standard and must have studied English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Forestry in 12th standard. There is 5% relaxation in the eligibility to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmiri Migrants) (10% relaxation to outstanding Sports Persons. LPU has very practical and advanced approach in the teaching pattern and you will realize once you get chance to have conversation with any of the Agriculture Students of LPU. Actually they feel very fortunate when got to learn field implementation, basic concepts in yield production.

B.Sc Agriculture is one of the most booming course these days, LPU is the first university to get the ICAR accreditation for agriculture courses. This is the main reason why students are preferring LPU over other universities. I have done my Engineering from LPU, and during my graduation I had a room mate who was enrolled in this course. He even got campus placement and was also selected for some internship at Nestle during her course. Major points as shared by him and as per my knowledge for Agriculture course are : LPU lays thrust on carrying out research in agricultural and allied fields. The university has well-equipped laboratories, library, lecture rooms, and excellent farm facility to conduct agricultural experiments. Students learn about the latest advancements in the field of agriculture, disease resistance, fertilizers and, insecticides with extensive fieldwork and field trips preparing them for the evergreen field of agriculture. The future of agriculture lies with a faith born of deeds. Students are engaged towards evergreen agriculture, keeping in view the RAWE Program to build interpersonal skills. LPU has allocated a separate space for agriculture students for their practical learning and growth. Each student is allocated with a separate piece of land to conduct hi or her own research work. LPU focuses on quality education a lot and all the professors of LPU are highly qualified and friendly, LPU also focuses a lot on practical knowledge and agriculture students of LPU has to go through various such practical tasks and projects which makes it very easy to understand the concepts and develop a deep knowledge of the subjects. Students are exposed to Commercial farms to get know-how that create an opportunity for students to engage and tone up their endurance, confidence and management skills. Emphasis on case studies and inter-personal based teaching to develop skills in analytical thinking and reflective judgment by reading and discussing complex, real-life scenarios. In order to provide a basic understanding of emerging problems and technologies involved in agriculture, field visits are conducted to neighboring farms, orchards, and nurseries In addition to core curriculam, the course offers subjects like communication and soft skills to enhance personality and employability. Not just this, there are other reasons as well to choose LPU, LPU provides excellent placement to eligible students, staff and faculty all are well experienced and highly qualified. For more details you can visit the website and contact LPU counselors . Thanks!

The eligibility criteria is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate (with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Maths or Biology or Forestry) OR 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) OR 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent. I will highlight some of the features. 1. LPU is the first private University to get ICAR accreditation. 2. The faculty is well qualified and most of them are Ph. Ds and provide full support to the students. 3. The best thing is the University does not compromise with the academics as all the lectures are held and if a faculty wants a leave either the makeup lectures are planned or adjustments are provided for that particular slot. 4. In this stream as most of the work is fieldwork, there every student is allocated a separate piece of land to perform their tasks in the supervision of the staff. 5. University provides additional placement oriented classes and students also studied subjects like analytical skills, soft skills, etcetera as part of the curriculum to prepare the students for all types of competitive exams. I would like to name a few companies that visit LPU- Nestle, VLCC Health Care, HDFC, Rallis India, and many other firms. Thanks
