Please note down the eligibility criteria, 60% in 10+2/Intermediate with English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths/ Biology/ Forestry + LPUNEST or 60% in 10+2/Intermediate 10+2 (Agriculture) + LPUNEST OR 60% in 2 year Diploma(Agriculture) after 10th + LPUNEST Age Condition :- Minimum 16 Years (i.e. born on or before last date of admission) Admission process is already been started in Lovely Professional University for the current academic Year. Students need to register themselves in the online portal of LPU (https://admission.lpu.in/) & then apply online for the LPUNEST examination. LPUNEST Schedule 2 is presently active. This is Remotely Proctored test only. LPUNEST schedule 2 Examination: Online Registration Starts on 1-Apr-21 onwards, Last date is 30-Apr-21. In my opinion, one should not wait for the last date & last moment as you may not get the desired schedule and date for the exam. Based on LPUNEST valid eligibility score card, student can complete their admission process online by paying requisite fees through the same portal. In my Opinion Lovely Professional University will be the best option for pursuing B.Sc. course. There are several reasons behind that like, 1. School of Agriculture, Lovely Professional University is first private school accredited by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)

Being an alumni of LPU I would rather say that the school of Agriculture in Lovely Professional University is among the best place for pursuing the BSC in agriculture. Eligibility for admission in this course is as follows, 60% in 10+2/Intermediate with English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths/ Biology/ Forestry + LPUNEST or 60% in 10+2/Intermediate 10+2 (Agriculture) + LPUNEST OR 60% in 2 year Diploma(Agriculture) after 10th + LPUNEST Age Condition :- Minimum 16 Years (i.e. born on or before last date of admission) 5% to North East states and Sikkim candidates / Defence Personnel and their Dependents/Wards of Kashmiri Migrants Now you would be saying why I am saying like that, actually my cousin has completed his degree from here only. The most significant thing which should be emphasized is that LPU is the first private university which has been approved by ICAR.I along with my cousins had visited the fields, labs. In order to infuse understanding on emerging problems and technologies involved in agriculture field visits are conducted to neighbouring farms, orchards and nurseries. Not only subject related education is imparted but also the professional enhancement is added by the university through the different courses like soft skills and communication skills. Major Highlights of the programme that I would be highlighting over here are as follows: a) The course would impart knowledge and understanding of fundamental concepts and techniques of maintaining and enhancing soil fertility, crop production, crop management, crop improvement, biodiversity and sustainability of agriculture worldwide. b) The course would develop the ability to know farming practices and their scope to improve in the rural areas and the environments. c) It would help in applying the knowledge of basic science through Agricultural microbiology, Plant biochemistry and Biotechnology. d) It will focus on application of knowledge of Agri-business management and finance to develop profitable agricultural system. e) 19.25 LPA PLACEMENT OFFERED IN PANDEMIC BY DE SHAW LPU students have got top packages from leading Agriculture companies. LPU is the first private University in India which is ICAR accredited by ICAR. There are some private colleges in Maharashtra also which you can admission through payment as far i listened they are not up to mark. When coming to facultys in LPU most of the faculty will be PhD candidates they are good at teaching and very helpful for the students. Unlike govt universitys faculty's cannot skip the lectures in Lpu . At the end of the semester faculty need to cover the skipped lectures too by conducting extra makeup classes. Research work is not upto mark in Lpu as lpu started Agriculture recently as BSC Agriculture concerned it won't effect much. Placements - LPU is trying to get placements . companies visited are Tata Rallis, NCDEX, dhanuka ,smur Agro, pragya, Reliance etc , UPL But don't come to LPU expecting placements not everyone will get placed this is the same scenario in govt universitys also. But lpu trains you for placements by conducting placement classes. It will train your for Group discussions and personal interview and will focus on improving you communication skills and reducing your state fear which most govt also doesn't not teach like Lpu. Lpu also conducts classes for the students who want to prepare for masters from 3rd year onwards. In Lpu you can do internships ,job from final year onwards unlike other govt universitys .for govt universitys you are not allowed from 4th year. You can do job/ internship from 4th year itself. Diversity will be more in Lpu you can make friends from almost all states and few countries too. When diversity is concerned no university in India can beat LPU. In future we are expecting lpu will get more placements due to more diversity which the company recruiters need. Lab and filed work is also good. There are student organization in Agriculture also AGRINIANS and agros you can also join in it for developing your skills. LPU is just like the more reap the more you get. Good luck !

You should have passed with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate (with English, Physics, Chemistry & either Maths or Biology or Forestry) or 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) or 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent subject to valid score in LPUNEST (UG Agriculture). LPU is well known for its B.Sc(Hons) Agriculture course. LPU is the first private University to get ICAR accreditation. The faculty is well qualified, and most of them are Ph. Ds and provide full support to the students. The best thing is the University does not compromise with the academics as all the lectures are held. If a faculty wants a leave, either the makeup lectures are planned, or adjustments are provided for that particular slot. In this stream, as most of the work is fieldwork, every student is allocated a separate piece of land to perform their tasks under the supervision of the staff. If I talk about placements, University provides separate placement-oriented classes, and students also studied subjects like analytical skills, soft skills, etcetera as part of the curriculum to prepare the students. I want to name a few companies that visit LPU- Nestle, VLCC Health Care, HDFC, Rallis India, and many other firms.

LPU focuses on quality education a lot and all the professors of LPU are highly qualified and friendly, LPU also focuses a lot on practical knowledge and agriculture students of LPU has to go through various such practical tasks and projects which makes it very easy to understand the concepts and develop a deep knowledge of the subjects. Through the Rural Agriculture Work Experience (RAWE) program the students develop a real-time understanding of conventional agriculture methods and effective dissemination of knowledge to the farmers. In order to provide a basic understanding of emerging problems and technologies involved in agriculture, field visits are conducted to neighboring farms, orchards, and nurseries In addition to core curricula, the course offers subjects like communication and soft skills to enhance personality and employability. Now, these were just some of the few advantages of LPU but there is much more good to say about LPU like it’s infrastructure, study environment, placements, cultural programs and what not, I can definitely say that LPU would be worth joining. Thank you! Good Luck.

LPUNEST is mandatory for taking admission in LPU for B.Sc. Agriculture program. In the situation of covid-19, lovely professional university is the one which has relaxed their eligibility norms. For B.sc. agriculture, the eligibility requirement is that a student should have passed with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate (with English, Physics, Chemistry, Maths or Biology or Forestry) OR 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) OR 2 yrs. Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent. Also, LPU believes in the fact that money should not be a constraint to any individual. So they offer scholarship based on various categories. You can avail the scholarship based on your percentage in the previous qualification or even on the basis of LPUNEST exam or many more categories. Whichever will be higher that will be reduced from the fees of every semester. Well, Lovely professional university is the first private university to get accreditation from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). LPU provides the quality education by the well qualified teachers. LPU has become a brand across the globe. It has various national and international tie-ups. LPU excels in terms of placement as well. LPU provides a proper atmosphere or environment for agriculture students. In this stream as most of the work is fieldwork, there every student is allocated a separate piece of land to perform their tasks in the supervision of the staff. Students here are given the opportunity to work on the live projects. University provides additional professional enhancement classes as part of the curriculum to prepare the students for all types of competitive exams. LPU excels in terms of placement as well. Students of agriculture are availing a good amount of packages from the recruiters. I would like to name a few companies that visit LPU- Nestle, VLCC Health Care, HDFC, Rallis India, and many other firms.
